Off-Topic I feel ripped off...
i got out of bed at 3.30am to watch what i thought was going to be another exciting GP
knowing about the tyre problems i thought they would have come to a soloution and there would have been a race, when 6 cars were left on the grid i switched off and went back to bed... what was worse was that i couldnt get back to sleep, so i payed for it by being like a zombie at wor

F1 thats a great mix of world class drivers and awesome cars and bikes. interesting to see Peter Brock going, his VK commodore will seem out of place amongst all the europian vehicles
shame i live in the wrong hemisphere and on the wrong continent :P
pay for my ticket LS?

Off-Topic well limiting engines would go against everything that is F1. atleast being v8's it will take a little time to claw back up to 1000bhp

F1 In all fairness JV's performance in winter testing was disapointing as was his result in aussie gp, but he was on the "wrong tyres".
in brazil 04 JV actually matched Alonsos best lap of the race and it being the 4th odd time he'd driven the car that isnt too bad for raw speed.
i think that if JV doesnt show any pace in the next few races then he's deffinatly missing s

F1 technically impressive is what makes it so fun and interesting to listen to, and as for 100mph solo's u guys obviously didnt grow up listening to thrash/heavy metal, speed metal and death metal like i did :P

Off-Topic Thats right it was cut short because of austrialian idol and the news is "first at five"
were lucky they even showed it during the day, #9 hadnt done that for years
remember silverstone 2003, when ITV went to adds when that freak ran along hanger straight, 10 was going to but then came back and we got to see the marshal grab the @#$%&, unlike ppl watching in the UK (unless im very muc

Off-Topic wtf? worse then channel 9?
not one GP has been delayed for golf or anyother sport.
and we actually get a review of qualifying.
they actually canned thier sunday night movie just so they could show F1 at the same time each sunday except for the live ones like canada USA and brazil.
remember staying up till 1am 2am and once 10 to 5am to see the START of a GP? that could have been shown at 1

Off-Topic yes more James Allen is a nightmare but more Martin Brundle certainly isnt, Martin does an excellent job and really keeps the commentating team from being a lack-lustre one like ours

F1 10 has done a much better job, putting CSI and @#$%& on in order to have coverage start at 10.30 is great, i remember the last year with #9 championship deciding race at Magny Cours was played at 10 to 5am.....
lucky at 10 the closest we will see to that is the live races in US Canada and Brazil.
Japan being shown live was also a bonus except i think it was cut a bit to get 10's oth

F1 yeah but if it (imola) was left as it was, not only was it too dangerous but they would be doing bloody 45 sec laps or something ridiculous.

F1 lol dave, i knew someone would point out that we havnt raced at shanghai yet
sepang isnt "riviting" but its more entertaining then say imola
and spa shouldnt be compared to... its a fantastic historic circuit that im glad is still drivable onable by modern day F1's
2002 was an ok race, Jv had a great battle with fisi

F1 Im pretty sure that when JV won either Formula atlantic or Champcar championships, cant remember wich one, his car was number 27
ill find out for sure if any one doesnt beleive me...
im just saying that JV doesnt mind running a certain number, just doesnt like being compared to his father....

F1 sepang, bahrain, hockenhiem and shanghai are all the lasteset tracks, and all have provided a good race this year and the years since theyve been made, they are all purpose built modern F1 tracks and from a sim racer point of view, they are all fun to drive, they are all built by tilke and all look "micky mouse" but that doesnt stop them from being fun to drive and fun to watch.

F1 possibly old news to some of you.
Jenson Button has confirmed that his decision to leave BAR and join BMW Williams next season was because of unhappiness over contract differences including bonus payments.
The Englishman is in the middle of a tug-of-war between BAR and Williams over his future services after both teams claimed to have binding contracts with him for 2005.

F1 The best thing about this GP was that they actaully showed the midfield racing unlike canada and france.
anyone who isnt entertained by the action in the midfield because it isnt for P1 just isnt a real F1 fan, i even liked the minardi's dicing, seen those things from onboard camera? they look so hard to drive!
the midfield is so close that in all the races there is more action back

F1 i noticed this the most at canada, there was overtaking and close racing down the field and we did not see this, my friends who did not watch the race said "how was it?" i said it was a good race if we could have seen the racign rather then the top 5 cars all following eachother around.
in USA it wasnt so bad because there was some action near the front, although we missed out on

F1 "Marc Gene (or was it Alex Wurz?) has also done one in a Williams around Melbourne"
im pretty sure it was 2002, but it was deffinetly Montoya driving and larry perkins in the V8 super car, cant remember who was in the BMW roadcar

F1 If all goes well for Gene in the couple races he fills in for Ralph he might get that Williams seat along with Webber or Trulli, as much as i would like to see it happen, i dont think JV will be in a race seat next year.

F1 looks like JV gets the majority of votes here, and i vote JV also
But it would be hard for him to do any good having not tested the car at all and JPM having driven it since the beginning of the year.
the question is who would i choose, and id choose Jv to replace Ralph for the rest of the year! and the next!
but realisticaly id choose Gene, he did a good job last time Ralph missed a GP

F1 Gilles Villeneuve was one of the most exciting drivers to watch, EVER!
he died doing what he loved as did all the other F1 drivers who have died over the years, i dont see how Satos move was dangerous at all. if McNish can survive the crash he had at suzuka 2002 and Button at monaco 2003, then an over optimisitic move by sato should be seen as nothing less then providing some much needed nea

F1 I thought Da Matta is an excellent driver, made a good transition from champ cars like JV and JPM managed to do... shame he wont be in F1 longer
by

F1 I thought sato's move was pretty good also, i was watching wanting him to make a move on that very lap, thinking that no one else had tried from that distance he wont do it.
then wam he comes very late on the brakes, doesnt lock up and almost gets past
he is unlucky his front wing broke, we see MS and JPM touching all the time they are just lucky, Sato was not.

F1 Sato for me was driver of the day, martin was saying earlier in the race about having to frighten your way past the other driver as they can get comftable with keeping u behind.
Sure he could have waited and got past later, but they might have tangled next time also, he was marvellously late on the brakes and still made the pass, despite chopping off his front wing.

F1 2000 he crashed with fisi, 2001 i think his engine blew?
i also remember hearing that because DC grinds his teeth his jaw appears larger, but wether or not it was from the commentating at hockenhiem 01 i just cant say.
i really liked the old hockenhiem, but i must say that the new one provides just as much action if not more.

F1 I think we'll see a good race here this weekend.
Sure MS will get ahead after first pitstops and win the race from there, but im predicting some close racing between Barrichelo the Renaults, BAR, williams, McLaren(hopefuly) and even Webber showed some pace in FP1 and he and Klien say that the car feels really good there.
i predict a few moves down into T1 for sure.
