Who would you choose to replace Ralf?

JV could well be the chosen one. Gerhard Berger said on German TV that if he was still in charge at BMW he would chose JV. Also FW confirmed that there had been talks with Jacques during the season concerning a cockpit in 2005.

Do you guys all think that Jacques still has it? I think personality wise, hes great for f1 and back in the day, he gave Michael a hard time, although his car was far superior.

Thats why I want to see him in a top car again, I personally think (hope) he still has the will and the speed to win. He is one of the best natural racers we've seen recently (nearly winning first GP, against an established driver like Hill, incredible!).

If they do decide to get JV to deputise for ralf then i would have thought that they would get him in the car straight away to get used to it

The F1 corresponces will jump on to it right away if its going to happen

It would be great if williams could borrow Fisichella for once race and Webber for the ova, shame it wont happen, but i think theyd be a strong team in 05 4 williams!

harfly..we'd see jacques doin rubbish cos he has no knowledge of the car/engineers/michelin tyres...Montoya would kick his ass in both races...and be made to look totally superior..although i think he is anyway bu tahts a nother debate..and then F1 would turn its back on jacques for good.

But it would be hard for him to do any good having not tested the car at all and JPM having driven it since the beginning of the year.

the question is who would i choose, and id choose Jv to replace Ralph for the rest of the year! and the next!
but realisticaly id choose Gene, he did a good job last time Ralph missed a GP

Well webber is locked in for number one, so im geussing williams will go JV or Gene.

Sadly they want points - so it has to be a test driver imo. But I would love to see Jacques in a Williams. What he needs is to do some testing for them - maybe run the third car at the next race (like Davidson), get a little more comfortable, and then think about the next race.
