Off-Topic A very bad race for the Sauber guys....
But well done to HRT in getting both their cars to the end of the race, they should have quite a bit of useful data gathered after today.

F1 Good call by the FIA, it must be difficult enough to see things in the mirrors, but with them all the way out there, they must be next to useless. No good when, like Gav pointed out, they are very important.
ATL11, to answer your question, click on control center on the top of the page, the signature options you'll need are in there.

F1 Why does Bernie seem so interested in the backdrop of a GP, is he inadvertently admitting that the on track action is lacking?

Will be interesting to see who enters bidding, but more importantly who gets the nod.

F1 Yeah, the R15+ would actually make a cool batmobile..

Other Motorsports senna4ever, the problem is that the core rules don't really make for great racing, even the FIA themselves in a way admit it with their continual tinkering of the rules. So changes ARE very much needed.

F1 I still reckon let retired drivers design tracks, afterall, racers know what racers want, THEN let someone like Tilke move in and design the facilities etc. around the track.
Also, having a different track layout design team for each track, will also result in vastly different track layouts.

F1 I agree with the higher limit on engines and gearboxes, gives the drivers more room to push harder during races. Also agree with the banning of the double deck diffuser.

F1 +Get rid of the "shark fin" engine covers.
+Ban Ferrari's aero device wheels from next year onwards.
+Introduce more tyre suppliers (3 or more preferably).
+Lessen the amount of Tilke designed tracks (not a rule per se, but it must be done).
+Lower the front wing, and ban in car flap adjusters.
+Widen the front tyres.

F1 USF1 still looking at 2011
I don't know, going to be difficult to see how the FIA will grant them entry, I think we'll have to wait and see what happens between now and the cut-off date for next year's entries.

F1 I really wanted to see them somehow pull through, even up until an hour or so ago.
Like some other folks, I too feel for the workers, not only are they out of work, I'm sure many (if not all) would have been really excited to participate on the big stage of world motorsport... Just sad that no-one has stepped in like in the case of Manor and Campos.

Grand Prix 4 They're going to run out of drivers to interview
EDIT: Speaking of which, it's nice to hear some origional interviews and even some banter between the drivers and trackside reporters or commentators.
EDIT 2: You could have run an entire GP during that break!

The last thing USF1 said was that they were about to begin crash testing their car and it would take about a day, that was on the 8th or 9th. I'm guessing by their silence that it didn't go too well and a redesign of something has had to be taken.

F1 Ok, so of all the teams who had announced launch dates, all of them have now launched, just remains to see what USF1, Campos (and possibly StefanGP) will do. I suspect USF1 might be launching later than their "date" of early February because their crash testing might not have gone according to plan.

F1 Thanks Gav, for some reason what the "S" in JPS stood for evaded me when I was writing that post.
I'm not the most nostalgic of people, but Lotus have adapted their colour scheme very well to suit a modern F1 car, still looks good despite a VERY different carshape.

F1 It's simple and clean, but still striking and effective, I like it.
"Thats not bad, but I think I'm right in saying most woulda wanted a return to black 'n' gold..."
Those were sponsor's colours, so I doubt that they would have even considered it.

F1 Loque, I agree, it WAS a bit harsh on the guy who posted the pic, but the reason they said it was old news is because the same pic was posted in the 2010 F1 thread a day or two before it was posted on this thread.
