I suggest you rephrase the title of this thread.

Yes, they don't condone murder on these forums.

Mild torture maybe, but not murder.

Punish him by forcing him to drive around the Bahrain International Circuit.;-)

Whether or not it is condoned is irrelevant. In some countries, it is illegal to post such as this, as it is construed soliciting for someone to commit murder. In my country you would be convicted and sentenced for a post such as this. I doubt the laws are milder in neighbouring Germany. Since the server is in Germany, German laws apply.

I doubt any budding assassins read these forums. Even if they did I'd assume they'd be put off navigating his driveway. It's a 2 mile long straight separated by some 90 degree corners. Enough to bore anyone.

Back on topic, I agree with the original poster, F1 really needs to use new people to make tracks.

Just sack him and then force him to watch somebody else doing his job better than he can. That'd be funnier. ;)

So on this topic, does anyone know any other track designers who are both better and can adhere to the strict FIA design rules?

whoever designed the Algarve would be a good start

Fincent.
First of all. What circuit is this? Korea?

And yeah, it sucks. Get rid of it and bring in Algarve please.

For crying out loud. You bunch are the most short sighted people I've ever had to suffer reading posts from in my entire life. Not an inch has been driven on that track and already it has been classed as crap. One race has been driven and the rules are classed as crap. A bit more of logical thinking, sense and patience would be great.

How dare you insulting our forum F1 experts who spent so many time in their 13 or 14 years on earth driving racing games? What's a university degree in architechture, design or aerodynamics compared to the nerd-ness of a complete anorak who can judge the speed of cars or the greatness of track just by looking at it on a PC monitor?

Nevertheless, the track sucks. Not because I'm a nerd but because frommy eternal point of view the Korean race already ha happened and it was crap.

I still reckon let retired drivers design tracks, afterall, racers know what racers want, THEN let someone like Tilke move in and design the facilities etc. around the track.

Also, having a different track layout design team for each track, will also result in vastly different track layouts.

Its a much more widespread problem though. Even a lot of the drivers and teams have made similar comments, which I was very surprised to hear. This seems to have added to the snowballing effect of negative publicity that certainly doesn't help.

+infinity & qft

used to be GPGSL's Nick Heidfeld
Tilke tracks were all with similar things, and excepting Istambul and Sepang all of them hadnt provided great races...

We need fast curves... something like Zandvoort

some Tilke circuits offer better racing than some traditional tracks, as Hungary, Magny Cours, Monaco, Barcelona...

i think it's got more to do with the series than the track itself... Tilke tracks usually offer great races for other series
