To JonVic, no you don't need to change the .tex file names, because the carshape files 'look' for the .tex files they were assigned to. It doesn't matter what name you give to the carshape files, they will always look for the .tex files that came with the shape. It doesn't matter if you change the toyota carshape filenames to prost, the shape will still look for toyota.by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
DEF, the FW25 is the latest by Viper, as seen at Hockenheim and Hungary.by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
I chose to 'extract here' for all the cars and the only problems I had were with the Ferrari, but now its solved, with no other utilities or changing of files needed.by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
Aquarius, delete all the ferrari related files and extract them again and it should work. Mine didn't work for 2 days but I tried it again and it works perfectly now. Don't give up!by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
If you want 2003 order, you change the carshape names of the car you want to install to the name of the car in the slot you want the car in. e.g mclaren were team 2 in 2001, williams team 3 in 2001 2003 change mclaren carshape names to williams and williams to mclaren DON'T CHANGE .TEX FILE NAMES ONLY CARSHAPESby Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
I tried manually installing again and the ferraris are now working perfectly.by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
To Aquarius Varun and others having trouble with the latest Ferrari. I have now got mine working perfectly. All I did was extract the files from the zipped file I downloaded and manually installed it again, and this time it worked. I don't know why I had the problem in the first place. Michaels car looks perfect even from other cars. Just try it again and hopefully it will work for you. Aby Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
the problem with the helmet changing might be that the correct helmet has not been downsampled. WHen you put Kiesa's helmet in, press the 'downsample texture' button then click yes. that should solve it.by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
Has anyone who downloaded the latest F2003-GA had the new barge boards on BOTH cars? Some people have had the same problem as me (Michaels cars has 'old' barge boards, but Rubens has 'new' and by putting the Lod_0 from the test pack it creates the new problem as shown in the screenshot above, where Michaels car is all red when viewing another car.by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
Yeah its a kind of dorsal fin on the Williams. Sauber also had one in Hungary. Its meant to give a bit more stability through fast corners.by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
Is it the fact that you can see hands while in the cockpit? Have you edited t-cam position?by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
Has anyone who downloaded the latest F2003-GA had the new barge boards on BOTH cars? Some people have had the same problem as me (Michaels cars has 'old' barge boards, but Rubens has 'new' Other people have reported no problems.by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
The 'corrected' lod for Michaels car is Lod_0 from the earlier test pack Viper released earlier last week. There is actually a problem with that, which is a small section on the rear wing that appears to be lighter in colour than the rest of the wing. For the final release Viper corrected this problem, but when I installed it, Rubens cars was correct with new barge boards, but Michaelsby Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
Someting I noticed for BAR, Button has 16 on his car and 'J. Villeneuve' on the side, and Jacques car has Button number and name.by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
Thanks Jloo. I will send it to aquarius_varun.by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
Guys, when manually installing these cars, what do I do with those .wii files? I assume they have something to do with which order the cars go in. Please correct me if I'm wrong.by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
To Jloo, for Michaels car I have the 'older' version, but Rubens is the newer version with updated barge boards. You said it was a problem with the first lod of Michaels car. Should I copy lod1 and name it lod 0? Is that what you did?by Muks_C - Grand Prix 4
He might be thinking of taking a race seat next season if Kiesa doesn't do too well for the rest of this season!by Muks_C - F1
Yes Lanky-Lad. Did you hear Martin Brundle comment during the Hungarian GP, something like, "I'd hate the poor sod to have to change the gears himself!"by Muks_C - F1
Rubens on his way back to the pits said to the reporters that he thought it was a brake failure, but he then said a photographer showed him a picture of his left rear at the moment he braked, so Rubens said it could have been suspension failure, but he was not sure exactly at that moment in time.by Muks_C - F1
He looks like Manuel from Fawlty Towers in that pic. They were giving him a stereotypical spanish 'tache.by Muks_C - F1
Williams have those aero bits a bit further forward among the front suspension.by Muks_C - F1
I bet it gave Montoya a fright!by Muks_C - F1
I think all the people in F1 are conspiring to swear when Martin goes to talk to them on the grid!by Muks_C - F1
It would be good if Bev Turner looked like that at the races! But recently with her being pregnant she didn't look as good (no disrespect to her) Remember Silverstone a couple of years ago when Murray Walker was daydreaming about being in the back of a caravan with Beverley?by Muks_C - F1
Todays_Horse "whats sheffield?? LOL thats the funniest thing ive read on here in ages" I ask that question and I live in England!! (Only joking you fine people of Sheffield)by Muks_C - F1
On ITV before the race Fisi said that he wants to go to Sauber because their windtunnel will be the best in F1 next year when its finished, and he likes the idea of having a Ferrari engine/gearbox to use. The fact that he mentioned Ferrari makes me think that he feels Sauber is a road into Ferrari in the future. He has said many times in public that his dream would be to go to Ferrari.by Muks_C - F1
Most cars have cooling vents or holes for the oil and water near the back of the sidepod. Some are nicely crafted and made like gills like Ferrari and Toyota, and others are more basic and are literally just holes at the back of the sidepod. Some cars have the hot air 'chimneys' like renault and Williams on top of the sidepod. In cooler temperatures and in friday practice/qualifying Feby Muks_C - F1
Michael was on the inside of both Williams into the first corner, and Ralf was ahead of Montoya. Michael was still ahead of both Williams at the second corner, with Ralf still ahead of Montoya, but locking up and spinning. Michael did nothing wrong to Montoya.by Muks_C - F1
