Vipers Cars : Improvements!

if i need , i rename the lod , remember! only the lods not tex files
if mclaren uses the williams name rename it as williams , i had to rename the renault as benetton and toyota as minardi , everything ok

just installed the mclaren, great car only prob is the steering wheel is to high, but that can be changed with one of the editors that i can't be bothered to use,

to use the LOD 0 only, u must edit the gp4.exe.
Try searching with keyword LOD0. It was b-tone's idea.

I tried to run the one lod thing, but my 2.8Ghz P4 and 64mb MX440 werent up to it at 25FPS. I might try again, as I had some other programs running.

Like all the 7 cars that Viper has made - his Toyota is clearly the best Toyota I have seen to date:

However I have some problems and have tried the auto install and manual way of adding in the new cars.

1 4 Toyotas
2 Why is HHF car a bar
3 4 Williams or 4 Mclarens depend on who you install.

I have tried the liveryeditor but to no avail.

Any more ideas?

anybody noticed the shadow at the back of viper's williams?, it runs down from the tc along the engine cover. as seen in the above photo by ralphi. does this for me too

It's not a shadow. It's an aero feature that Williams started using at Hungary. An idea they lifted from Champcar racing I think.

Yeah its a kind of dorsal fin on the Williams. Sauber also had one in Hungary. Its meant to give a bit more stability through fast corners.

@ Welsh , install the cars manual and they ALL work great, if you have winrar right click on the EXE and unpack to a folder, then do a bit of LOD renaming with some of the LODs but not the TEX files and then install in the wad as ya should with GP4Master and your done oh and of course the helmets and arms with GP4Tweaker

erm, the reflections wont be ur gfx settings, but possibly alpha layers if everyones got the problems
