Anyone using TVout? I'm getting really good results on a Geforce2MX40064mb with TVTool1.5, I really only watch replays on it tho as the wheel is not in front of the telly yet. MOHAA and FS2002 is good on it although hard to see some of the snipers in MOHAA. Haven't tested RTCW and RF yet. The res doesn't appear to be as sharp as a monitor or a PS2 which is a bit of a shame really.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
Mail your SENSIBLE remarks AT THIS TOPIC. only one day to go, hopefully the sensible remarks will go to GC even though it appears that this thread has been needlessly hijacked..........off it's trolley completely.by mortal - Grand Prix 4

"danced on our ass" ????wtf.....oh, it's Boomy..... Good point Paolo, also interesting is in the Australian October (03) issue of PCGames is the following statement, we hope to be able to bring you a playable demo of GP4 , link to grandprix4.com included in the article. Game recommended but it's in the mag's top ten. Hope the demo plays better than the game does. lol. Maby mortal - Grand Prix 4

Go to www.driverguide.com, use the login: drivers, password: all. That should get you in to the site. The full download of the SBLive Value drivers should also be on the creative site, pretty sure that's where I got them from but it was a good while ago. Can't find the original download on my system to give you the filename, wonder where it went ;-/ Good luck with it.by mortal - Grand Prix 4

If as you say you have waited for months then surely you should have been well informed by the various forums such as this one providing information on the product. An f1config.cfg file that can run gp4 on a low end system such as a P2 or P3, please backup your original file, copy and paste etc. blah blah. Everything is turned way down with this file, it is not suitable for users with P4 or AMD1ghz+. 1 ; f1graphics.cfg controls all settings (default 0) 800 ; Game 3D Horizontal Resolution 600 ; Game 3D Vertical Resolution 1 ; Enable 32bit mode ifby mortal - Grand Prix 4

Dare I say it but it seems the aussies are way in front here with realistic questions , let's hope that in turn we get some realistic answers. And I just have to agree with jed's "tongue-in-cheek" remark about Boomy and his post's, although I reckon it's fair to say he's pulled his head in lately Keep 'em coming, we might get lucky.....by mortal - Grand Prix 4
Ellis he says it ran before, so it can't be the card He says "I've suddenly developed an irritating scratchy noise......" hmmmmm, I thought card or drivers myself but he says it ran before so there's not a lot to go on really I would beg, borrow or steal another card and then test again.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
have you looked at directx? did you run regclean to remove any redundant registry entries that may have been placed by the patch? do a search on sound probs, I think that this has been seen before.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
(1) Are you aware that many users are unable to run this simulation on some platforms whereas ea sport's f1_2002 will run on all platforms? (2) Is it fair to say that GP4 was rush released due to the release of ea's F1_2002? (3) Are we likely to see any future development of the series, ie: will there be a GP5 and if so will you be returning to microprose or are you negotiating with a nby mortal - Grand Prix 4

Flicker can be caused by in game resolution being different to desktop resolution, check that desktop res is the same as the selected game res. Are you using an edited f1graphics.cfg file? If so can you post your f1config.cfg file to the "crashes to desktop" thread as you are using xp Also as you have installed the patch AND changed graphics drivers you have two possible causes of flicby mortal - Grand Prix 4
Is anyone else using this handy little tool by Marcel WS? (v1.0) I do the editing manually but it's always interesting to see what's changed in the editor check boxes anyway.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
I rest my case, for some users it works on xp and for others it doesn't. I merely make the point Paulo that if you are consistently unable to run gp4 then it may be a realistic solution to change the os. I have the manual and I agree that it states it will run in 98/me/200/xp but getting it do so is another matter entirely, also I am fully aware that there is far more to a computer than gp4.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
A well documented and much discussed problem for some users here in this forum and in other forums as well, mainly those with win me and xp, some occurence in win98. See the buglist posted by Morbid, this is defined as a bug in the list. Note also that this issue has not been resolved in the patch released by IG and due to the apparent demise of the series (ie: the selloff by IG) one can safely aby mortal - Grand Prix 4
Without going into too much detail it's become fairly apparent in the last few weeks that some disgruntled and unhappy users have nothing better to do than make ridiculous posts about free games, stone throwing and stalking. If this is supposed to be the premier gp4 forum I fail to see how such puerile and utterly stupid posts do anything to help. Instead of wasting your's and everyoneby mortal - Grand Prix 4
Look, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I'm just as unhappy as the next bloke with GP4's premature release but I'ts fair to say that it all comes down to money, our money, IG @!#$ themselves when ea's f1_2002 hit the market so they released what was and has been proven to be an untested, unfinished, full of bug's product. Combine that with the latest cby mortal - Grand Prix 4
My suggestion is to remove winme and install and test with win98se. Do not install the official patch, use only the no_cd.exe. My bet is it will run and run well. I know it says in the manual that it will run on win me and there are for sure some users that actually have it running on win me but we are not in an ideal world are we and I think that by know you might just have figured out that youby mortal - Grand Prix 4
Very funny Boomy, and Luca, you did not post your system specs. What do you mean by a standard system. What about your os. What did you patch? The exe, the IG patch? Did you ask for help here, did you search the forum for information? No, it's easier to waste your bandwidth trashing it. Tell someone who caresby mortal - Grand Prix 4
Well thankgod for that news, maybe now this ridiculous thread is closed. And if anyone has crashes to desktop issues perhaps it would be wise to look hard at why this could be instead of waiting for a fix that we all knew would never materialize. There are many users whose systems do not crash to the desktop. Therefore it could be said that the fault lies perhaps not with the game version but theby mortal - Grand Prix 4
