Mail your SENSIBLE remarks AT THIS TOPIC. only one day to go, hopefully the sensible remarks will go to GC even though it appears that this thread has been needlessly hijacked..........off it's trolley completely.

1) Can you assure thousands fans that a second real patch will be released?

2) When do you believe this patch will be released?

3) Do you think are in needing of some forumers to be betatester? ( for free of course )

4) Can you please add qualification, practises and race lenght in MP via LAN?

5) Could you please allow a reasonable way to edit GP4?

6) Why did you ignored completelly Morbid and friends bug list?

Mortal I think that till the second post by Neil all possible questions and concerns were already been expressed. Many of them well summarized in your post.
This gave at the worst scum of this forum (me, Ellis & Neil) enough confidence so we started to put up our usual shamelessly cheap show ;)

BTW I'm just a bit curious to watch what is going to happen at alpha when other webmasters will begin to post Crammond's replies to their users ;)

My questions would go like this:

There is absolutely no way that any of us from the community can be sure to get in contact with the GPx development team. And now you are spending loads of cash paying for Electric Artists to tell you, what we would, and have said, totally free of charge - had we had the oppurtunity to do so... So why has the GPx development team chosen to be completely isolated and cutoff from the community?

Furthermore, why do you continue to perceive the community as an enemy that the GPx series must be protected against at all costs? My own collaborate efforts here at this forum has been mentioned above (the Buglist Project), but they are not even close to being in the same league as the many talented programmers and artists that continually improve and expand the existing products. Surely they have proven their worth to you by now, and should be regarded as an asset both for existing products and development of future releases... Or?

The buttom line is, why is there no official forum for the Grand Prix series, of course visited by people that actually work on the development, and failing that, why isn't there anyone to be seen from the development team on the many unofficial fanbased forums?

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

They played their finished game and were rather worried

See what all this "I will sue GC"-business has done to you, Boomey? Now you even write COURTain when you mean CURTain!

Well if you surf the web you can find even more strange webmasters.
In the GP4 forum of Drivingitalia in the last few days happened what follows:
1. After their review of GP4 is published and criticized by some users, one of the webmasters pops up in the forum acting like an hardcore fanboy of F12002 gone berzerk.
2. The guy starts to insult users who supported the game and warns them to "shut up and go away" (literally!)
3. The forum moderator tells the webmaster to calm down.
4. At some point the discussion gets focused on a receiver near Monza track (can be seen in the game from 1st chicane till Curva Grande), which, according the webmaster is Cammond's invention.
5. Moderator and webmaster start to fire rude words at each other.
6. Moderator is demoted and the thread deleted.
7. Moderator opens new threads asking the users to judge.
8. Users start to support him and the threads get deleted.
9. One of the users posts a picture of the infamous antenna, demostrating GP4 is right. Thread is deleted and the user banned.
10. Other users who supported the webmaster get banned
11. Banned users create new accounts and keep posting.
12. Drivingitalia staff gives up. Another webmaster shows up and try to justify the whole matter saying that "hackers" violated the site, deleted threads, benned users and even posted using the name of other people!
Most fun is that he says "yes the receiver is there indeed but must be some slightly off center, and this is severe for a game that claims to use GPS"
13. Users comment: yeah right!

Believe me surfing the web can be great fun!:D

Just a note:

I'm in that italian forum but I was not involved in that silly but funny soap.

Paolo has done a perfect resum, and these facts could be avoided if in the forums there were no offense between posters.

Maybe someone could insult IG (..!..),but it's better to avoid between posters.

BTW: What is Geoff saying today?
