Let's try and keep our forum "spam-free" Linking to advertising banners for a signature pic is not on and I'm sure that many of the regular users will agree. We get enough pop-ups and stupid ads shoved down our throats every time we go anywhere on the web, give us all a break You know who you are, take your ads elsewhere.....thankyou. the gp4 v f1_2002 debate has been done to death, it has even resulted in awful flame wars on some forums, I have f1_2001 and f1_2002, GP3_2000 and GPL, they are all good sims in thier own wayby mortal - Grand Prix 4
Ask the pitcrew to start your engine. Maybe your helmet is a poor fit. Seriously I've never really heard of this before. Though I would check the advanced sound options to make sure that the sound for your car is at 100%. Stranger things have happened.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
I'll post pics, as soon as I do some more work, going to the snow this weekend so you'll hafta wait In a new thread.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
Format the disk? what sort of a crazy answer is that? sheeesh now I've heard everything. As Dumbass states you must use a decrypted exe. Also if you have the same issues with the decrypted exe then change the detonators to 21.83whql certified. Both cards will function with the same detonators as well. You've obviously proven that gp4 runs in the me environment so it cannot be the os, thby mortal - Grand Prix 4
xp is ram hungry, make sure you have plenty, 512 mb would be good to run games properly in the xp environment. GP4 is more cpu than 3d graphic biased but you will see a huge improvement with the G4TI4200 anyway. The Athlon is pretty easy to overclock as well if you feel the need for more speedby mortal - Grand Prix 4
And they call it Public Relations.......they dont give a rats coz they already have our money. Some half assed patch, why did they bother, the most important issues haven't even been looked at. Another waste of bandwidth.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
Yes I have noticed that. There is nothing on the official GP4 site either. I have sent email to infogrames asking if it is an official release. Please send mail also, if enough of us ask we may get an answer PR@us.infogrames.comby mortal - Grand Prix 4
on what do you base that information? what is your source?by mortal - Grand Prix 4
thanx for the hosting advice, I'll probably buy the first option as well. Onya m8by mortal - Grand Prix 4
I'm making an F1 simulator cockpit out of 12mm craftwood or what is known here in aus as mdf, in two sections so it will be pretty easy to set up and even transport if needed. I've got the front pod section cut out and after some filing and sanding it will be ready for glueing and screwing together. I will use my logitech modena 360 wheel and pedal set and the pedal base plate will needby mortal - Grand Prix 4
lol, very clever, I'd like to see gp4.exe+forcethisoverblowngametorunonxpatadecentframerate+makeitworkonmyminimumspecsmachinelikeitsaysitwillinthemanual. <chuckles>by mortal - Grand Prix 4
I rest my case, on every machine the results are different. Gp4 has to be individually tweaked for its OS and hardware config on just about every machine. Users here say it runs on xp yet others ask for help? wtf?..... This really shouldn't be so, other graphic intensive games do not require the same amount of fiddling around to get a decent fps. Still we wait for some sort of fix or even aby mortal - Grand Prix 4
my isp has blocked it, any suggestions? I could use 50MB web space with a domain name if anyone knows who does this on the cheap. Cheers.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
Now we all know that you're going to read this, this is the number one GP series website/forum and let's face it how else do you guys keep up with all the editing and great ideas that we the users of your product come up with. My question to you guys is how much longer do we the consumers who parted with our hard earned cash have to wait for a patch to fix numerous bugs including occupaby mortal - Grand Prix 4
Remove XP, restore Win98SE and then gp4 will run, when Crammond and his boys get off their collective asses and complete the patch maybe, just maybe gp4 will run in XP, I once had XP but I was forced to remove it to get gp4 to run. Good luck with it. Some users are able to get it to run but most cannot as far as I know. Good luck with it.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
you're welcome, thank Bruno for the siteby mortal - Grand Prix 4
ok here goes, even though tcp/ip and lan protocol is supported in gp4 it does not run as well as ea's f1_2001/2 and papyrus grand prix legends. Use gpx_patch 3.03, both machines must have identical, repeat identical games, both machines should be on cable or at the minimum broadband adsl or on the same isp in preferably the same street, also once a succesful connection has been made a dramatby mortal - Grand Prix 4
Ta Ellis, can't get that one either, damn, what the.....oh well...btw love yr screenies of the toyota, excellent work, been burning the midnight oil by the look of itby mortal - Grand Prix 4

Dear oh dear, what is this country coming to, an aussie admitting he's a moron Do a search on f1graphics, there's been a few posts on it and it's likely that there's some tweaked versions available for download. Also there is an f1graphics editor available for download, probably on this site somewhere When you do get it up and running at a decent rate post your f1graphics fby mortal - Grand Prix 4
If you lived here in Melbourne, as I do, you would know that we get "four seasons in one day" When I encountered your bug, I laughed.by mortal - Grand Prix 4
q1, non existent. q2, view in full 3d? non existent. 2d view use gp3 edit or any paint program. q3, ask this on gp4 forum, I think users there would know where to find theseby mortal - Grand Prix 3
your po rate has nothing to do with mem usage, po is determined by the cpu, given yr processor type it is a given that yr po rate will be crap, there is no way around it. gp4 relies heavily on cpu usage, a graphics card with at least 64mb on board will take some of the load off the cpu but keep in mind that the graphics engine leans more to cpu usage than 3d card usage. Yr available mem usage isby mortal - Grand Prix 4

run sfc from start/run, do a file check, restore/extract from your os cd if required, visit the sidewinder site for updated drivers/tools whatever you can find check control panel/controller options and dxdiag for the input profile, check the registry entries are valid and that all profile entries/files etc. exist. Do a succesful calibration in a sidewinder setup menu outside of the game first iby mortal - Grand Prix 4
