The easiest way to overclock is using "coolbits" . It is a registry change which unlocks an extra feaures in your driver. So in advanced settings where you have direc3d settings and opengl settings, you have an extra tab called clock frequency.

When you OC, you are always taking a chance. The trick is to do it in small increments. Try 10 MHZ. Then play a game for 1-2 hrs, if it crashes often, thenn you know it's the OCing. So go back to what you had.

Just turn the memory up a bit. 10 or 15mhz

well i found my default core and memory clock settings.....

core clock=200mhz
memory clock=334mhz

I increased both by 10 mhz but it had no effect in GP4, nothing changed....

so what do you think?

overclocking ur card will not help that much unless ur vid card is the bottleneck of ur sys, and even if it does, u may only get 1/2 fps.

Most GeForce2MX cards don't have fans because under normal conditions they don't need them. But if you overclock it, it would be a good idea to add one.

Nothing strange mate, I don't even gain a signle FPS from Ti4400 clock to Ti4600 one.
With other games it definitely helps thou.

I overclocked my GF2 MX 400 so much I actually had memory rebounds. If after going that far for long Quaking sessions it never fried!

heh :p i overclocked mine to 230/400 stable, with no heatsink on ram.. but the higher you go, the smaller increments you use ..

and i dont know why you really need that hack to enable it in drivers .. just use RivaTuner, its the best utility to o/c .. there is a nice little program called "artifact tester" which tells when you go too far with ram.. im not sure where i got it, maybe it was with rivatuner, coolbits, or some other utility, so email me if you want it.

To get a good overclock, you need a really GOOD cooling.
