Unless the top speed is dramatically lower, shouldn't the cars theoretically take longer to reach their top speed now that they have less power? In any case, with less power able to push through the air, the slipstream will become more effective to the car behind than in the V10 years.by Zyklef - F1

I have to agree with chet here, although I am not gonna say that the 2 seasons I have seen with just one tyre manufacturer were better than the season with Bridgestone/Michelin and Bridgestone/Goodyear, a HUGE proportion of dissapointment in results and races has stemmed from having two seperate manufacturers. For instance, Michelin graining in 2001/2002 meant that Williams couldn't hold a tby Zyklef - F1
Haven't LMP cars had to be able to seat 2 people for quite a while now, and as Andrew said the roll-hoop must now also cover the second "seat".by Zyklef - Off-Topic
I would rather see the white back but I don't see why he would change back now.by Zyklef - F1

and? Teams have had names like that for ages, West McLaren Mercedes, Mild Seven (Benetton) Renault. It's common principal for the title sponsor of a team to be in part of the team name.by Zyklef - F1
Nothing! It should be STR (Scuderia Toro Rosso) and SAR (Super Aguri Racing), not TSR and SGR.by Zyklef - F1
I think the seperate liveried BAR 01's are two of the best looking liveries of recent times. It's just a shame the FIA is so stuck-up with its livery rulings that they had to combine the two.by Zyklef - F1
I think the new Fuji can provide better overtaking and racing for F1 cars than both the old Fuji and Suzuka. Plus I'd rather see new and different venues being used.by Zyklef - F1
RIP Richard. He was never my favourite driver but it's always sad to lose someone you've watched drive in your lifetime and especially at this age.by Zyklef - Off-Topic

Well I like it, very clean and simple. I personally hope that 2006 brings us some new and interesting liveries as those of the recent past have been mainly evolutions of a similar theme.by Zyklef - F1
Duval now leading, McRae 2nd in the Skoda and Rovanpera's Mitsubishi in 3rd. If it stays like it is it would be Duval's first win and the first podium for both Skoda and the new Mitsubishi Lancer I believe.by Zyklef - Off-Topic

McRae's in third, can I finally see the Skoda podium I've been waiting for since 1999?by Zyklef - Off-Topic

Top speeds don't really tell much into engine power. Remember Arrows in 2000, their car was a demon in a straight line but only had the cutomer Supertec engine in the back of it, a powerplant that was based on Renault's 1997 unit and certainly not anywhere near the most powerful thing on the grid that year.by Zyklef - F1

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if someone wins a race, championship etc. without cheating they deserve it, end of, even if the only thing they did right was not getting it wrong. The winner of the championship is the driver/team with most points. Alonso and Renault got the most points so, shokc, they deserved to win, it's in the rules.by Zyklef - F1
Heidfeld's pass is best put into context when compared with Webber's pass (and attempts) a few laps later. Same situation but Heidfeld performed the manouver with relative ease.by Zyklef - F1
Fisichella stayed at a constant speed he just made sure Raikkonen did not pass him down the pitlane. As many people have already stated, his penalty was a direct result of the same trick Raikkonen pulled at Spa. Whether they did it in the pitlane or on track makes no difference, in fact slowing to crawling pace is surely more dangerous on circuit. Great drive by Alonso, I don't believe Fiby Zyklef - F1
I guess they could argue it was fundamentally the same livery but with Star Wars images on it.by Zyklef - F1
That brings me onto another subject, why do the FIA have such petty rules as "cannot change general livery of car during season"? There's no benefit whatsoever, I'm sure most fans love seeing "one-off" cars at certain GP. We could be seeing a lovely blue and yellow 555 BAR this weekend but thanks to a useless rule we've got what is quite a monstrosity.by Zyklef - F1
Anyone who thinks Ferrari's problem is even mainly the tyres is plain ignorant. Just look at how Jordan and Minardi have closed up on them this year.by Zyklef - F1
