Honda might have got theres almost to 1000. They were planning 1000 for shanghai but i never heard anything more on it. I would be suprised if anyone was under 900 this year.

There was a list with facts that the Mclaren was about 940, the Renault is 920, the BAR and Toyota were 900, Minardi and Red Bull (same engine) 890, Jordan 900 too, Sauber and Ferrari 910-915.

I don't belive that ferrari would have 30hp less than mclaren.

Top speeds (which tells a lot about engine power) from Monza:

sector 1:
1. KR...354
2. JPM..353
3. MS...353
4. MW...352
5. RB...349
6. GF...348

sector 2:
1. GF...356
2. KR...356
3. JPM..353
4. MS...352
5. MW...352
6. FA...352

sector 3:
1. JPM..334
2. KR...334
3. MW...332
4. MS...331
5. RB...330
6. GF...330

sector 4:
1. KR...370
2. MS...369
3. JPM..366
4. JV...365
5. MW...365
6. RB...364

It's interesting that no driver from toyota or honda is on that list. I don't belive that toyota and bar had so bad aerodynamic package that they couldn't reach the top speeds. From what I see the most powerful engine had mclaren then ferrari and then renault

BAR were appauling at Monza...

they just couldnt show their decent engine because their car was too crap. lol so they had to chunck it up with dforce.. look at their montreal wing compared to the other teams ;-)

but how interesting that Red Bull with the weakest engine could get to 4-5-6-7-8 at almost every races.

Wasn't Red Bull with about 930hp? The Minardi should be about 15-20 less, Toyota about 945, Ferrari 960, McLaren 955 or so, Renault 950, but I'm estimating from things I heard

15-20 less? God, how good must we be if we can tell a car has 5 bhp more or less just by watching it on TV. Get serious, it's all guessing anyway since no team will announce it's bhp values.

Sometimes the F1 magazines have estimated values in, I know the teams wont release the actual figure, but I was more hoping for some magazine values ;) It doesn't have to be totally accurate (As of course it won't be) I just need the values for GP4 :)

I dont think that McLaren had the most powerfull engine. They had the best aero package, so they could have run the car with almoust no rear wing angle in Monza, while other teams had to had a bit more wing.

Honda had the most powerfull V10 engine ever in China and it was 965 bhb not 1000 like they promised earlier .

Top speeds don't really tell much into engine power. Remember Arrows in 2000, their car was a demon in a straight line but only had the cutomer Supertec engine in the back of it, a powerplant that was based on Renault's 1997 unit and certainly not anywhere near the most powerful thing on the grid that year.

Well thats why they chose monza as an example, if they chose say silverstone then you could use your point, but in monza Horse Power>>>aero efficiecy

I don't know the hp, but I read somewhere in Renault's official site that the RS25E (the last spec) reached more than 18500 rpm, and Pedro De La Rosa said at the end of the Chinesse GP that their engine reached 18400 rpm, but who knows if that's all true

ahh,now all we need to know is how much torque it produces ;-)

I have heard and read from F1 magazine that Renault reached 19250 rpm in shanghai's qualifying .
