That 555 livery was the best livery BAR has ever had!

I like the '99 Lucky Strike red and white car.

I would have liked them to be able to run both liveries, although the 'Zipper' car was quite nice too.

It's just a pity that they didn't run that lucky strike livery in the years after 1999 when they were only advertising lucky strike on the cars. I still think the 555 livery was better though.

I think the seperate liveried BAR 01's are two of the best looking liveries of recent times. It's just a shame the FIA is so stuck-up with its livery rulings that they had to combine the two.

Yeah, I don't see the point, I would like it when teams could change their whole livery during the season.

1996 was the Jordan being yellow, and then changing to gold.

i thought that too, but i think that Brundles car is also yellow, its just that he's in the shade of trees, so its looks dark like gold.

i doubnt they would have been allowed to have 2 different liveries.

From memory the 96 Jordan was gold all year. If you look at Brundle's arms in the crash pic you'll see that his suit is yellow, the car is a much darker colour. I think the differences in the pictures posted is down to brightness and contrast.

Actually, the 96 Jordan changed colour a number of times, from gold to yellow. Jordan had major difficulties getting the right colour, hence the 97,98,99,00,01,02,03,04 and 05 YELLOW B&H Jordan, it would appear that the TV didn't show the gold right.

Similar to the problem Jaguar had with their green, they changed it a number of times due to the way it looked on TV.

Interesting, but boring facts....

;)

After their deal with Orange was announced it took Arrows 26 attempts to get the right shade of orange.

and jag had probs as the green they wanted to use was to heavy

not sure about it being too 'heavy', but Jackie Stewart explained in that program about Jags 1st year from the Stewart takeover, that the green they used at first would appear almost black on tv on a cloudy dull day, so they had to play around with the shades so it still appeared green, even on dull days, like Intweb said.

i don't think the shade of colour affects the weight of the paint on the car.
