I watched the first episode again on BBC3 last night - It's GENIUS! Sooo funny, I didn't hear all the dialogue cos I was laughing so much. Jonah is the funniest character!by EC83 - Off-Topic
That Honda actually looks quite nice, going by the photo above. Shame the pace isn't there to match it. The BMW looks truly horrendous though - more like a Formula BMW than an F1!by EC83 - F1
WOOHOO!! Awesome. 2009 race coverage is gonna RAWK!by EC83 - F1

Defo. Every season there seems to be a different Kimi. There was the Prost-like Kimi of 2003, then the Senna-like Kimi of 2005. In 2007 he was more like Carlos Reutemannby EC83 - F1
LOL! Major misjudgement by Jackie. Jenson Button was also compared with Senna before he made his debut.by EC83 - F1
This seems daft to me. Scrapping the points system is like messing up the sport's DNA. One of the most significant driver stats has always been the number of points scored. It helped put into perspective Prost's greatness and then MS's, not to mention the drivers who held the record before Prost. It's not a new idea of Bernie's, he was talking about it at least as longby EC83 - F1
Vettel and Kubica are both awesome drivers, and both easily capable of being champions. But neither of them are with a truly top team(ie like McLaren/Ferrari). That's not to say BMW can't do great things next season, but they don't have the years of winning/fighting for titles that the top 2 have. So in pressure situations BMW could make mistakes the top 2 teams wouldn't make,by EC83 - F1

Shanghai only provides interesting races when it rains, or when the drain covers come loose. Having said that I hope they don't axe it till they've lined up a race to replace it. The way things are going we'll soon be back down to 16 races each season.by EC83 - F1
DC was in the middle of the pack with Piquet and Bourdais and they were all bumping into each other. DC was obviously unlucky and took a bad hit. He didn't know himself who it was against.by EC83 - F1
The guy who's driven most like a champion this season out of the top 4 has been Kubica, no doubt about it. He's been really consistent and has outperformed the car on a regular basis. Bourdais' penalty is very convenient, yes. The stewards probably penalised him purely on account of the fact that it was Massa and not him who spun.by EC83 - F1
Again, many congrats to Alonso for a magnificent drive. Stunningly consistent lap times throughout. He's defo the most complete driver in F1 atm, the best under pressure also. Brilliant from Kubica too. Keeps on squeezing great results out of a car that hasn't been developed for ages. Fully deserves to still be in with a title chance. Seriously p*ssed at Hamilton. How to lose a raceby EC83 - F1
Piquet's pace(and Renault's in general) is astonishingby EC83 - F1
Massa then destroys all the good work of those fast laps by crashing into Bourdais! LMAOby EC83 - F1
WOAH!! Insane start! Lewis, WTF?! How to totally screw up a great victory opportunity... Hopefully he can come back into play later on with that extra fuel - and stop cracking under pressure!! Anybody's race now.by EC83 - F1
Temperatures will play into McLaren's hands. If Lewis gets away first he'll have a great first stint.by EC83 - F1
Brilliant lap from Lewis. Well done Kimi, Kovy and Alonso also. I'm hoping for the sake of a good race that Massa is stupidly heavy with fuel - he probably just messed up in Q3 though. Kovy has an important job to do holding Massa up - he needs to maintain track position over Massa for as long as possible. Great effort from Toro Rosso - again solidly impressive. LOL @ Honda! McLaren/Mercedes want to have a B team like everyone else, they've been feeling left out.by EC83 - F1
Yeah, there's been a summer break of some kind every season since 2001. This one will be the longest yet.by EC83 - F1

GENIUS squirrel story also! ROFLby EC83 - Off-Topic
Apparently MS got a total shock when he went to Ferrari RE the disorganisation. Members of the team were apparently sitting about drinking coffee when the latest test was meant to be getting underway.by EC83 - F1
As far as I know, the main reason for the GP changing circuits was Toyota. Ever since they'd been in F1 they'd wanted the race to move to Fuji - and they had the funds to help make it happen... I remember when the news of the move to Fuji broke round about the time of the 2006 Japanese GP, the two Toyota drivers were 'delighted' that the race was moving to Fuji and all the oby EC83 - F1
Ah yeah, that'd make more sense. The chicane at Suzuka the last few years was nowhere near as challenging. Plus the really long pit entrance that once helped characterise Suzuka is gone as wellby EC83 - F1
Finally, at long last!! Just surprising that they persevered so long with what was clearly a risky idea. P.S. Glad it was Stefano who spoke on the team's behalf, and not Luca Collijaniby EC83 - F1

Yeah, they defo needed some better barriers at 130R. The way the car punched its way through there was scary as hell. Think Martin described the barrier as "looking like a can after the opener had been used on it" in his commentary.by EC83 - F1
