Haha, that's great Sapo! ;)
To be fair, it does look nice from a side angle, it's just when you see the nose from the front view that you realise how fat it is.

They are doing the same as ferrari but theirs are just about flush with the body work, but from the side view you can see the tip so I am not sure if they will have to change it or not.

If Ferrari have to I am sure they will make sure BMW do as well.

I had a (very) quick glance through the technical regs this morning (in that I just searched the PDF for "exhaust"!), and nothing sprung up and hit me in the face about limiting exhausts protruding from the bodywork. Is it covered in part of the aero section or something, or are they just using the exit area to compensate a bit for the lost rear downforce by curving that part of the engine cover upwards?

they could be just using them to tidy the airflow up a bit, in which case they should be taken off, or they might just be thinking about previous problems they've had with the hot exhaust cracking the suspension. if that's the case, it shouldn't really be an issue.

i was looking closely at the bmw, and in front of the sidepod openings there are definitely bargeboards, or what look like very small ones. how would you define a bargeboard?

Dunno about BMW, but atleast Ferrari and McLaren clearly have.. [www.f1technical.net]

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

It should be in the section of bodywork ahead of the rear wheel centreline or something...

No no no! The Williams was looking s^%t hot as it was, why do they have to go ruin it!

Have we had any clarification yet on the barge boards and engine fins?

2013 - Nando must come through..

We dont need clarification.

They are allowed them in their current setup.

Bargeboards were not completley banned, the FIA do not say "x" is banned because teams could claim them to be "y". The FIA say no bodywork in set parameters.

And it seems bargeboards or whatever you want to call them are legal in the area the teams have them. a few months ago racecar eng mag had an article on the rules and their idea clearly had a little bargeboards similar to what is being used.

Looks like "major" change that ferrari is implying before the start of melbourne could be just that.

Kimi testing at Mugello. The Ferrari is easily my favourite of all the new cars, just looks so good and sleek!

webber says the new red bull is 'beautiful'

he's usually very honest, so that's a good sign that newey's developed a good looking car, which is hopefully fast as well!
