No, not at all. He was a member of the Manic street preachers before he disappeared (but don't start me on that!)by chris - Grand Prix 4
5) What is catch 22? (in gp4 context?)by chris - Grand Prix 4
I doubt it. At the moment Fiat are $4.9bn in debt...in no position to give ferrari money. Ther's even talk of Ferrari being floated in order to raise cash! (BMW buy them, and force them to make crap enginesby chris - F1
But, Larry O'Meara has just released an incredible 2002 Canada track for gp3 2000. WOW. Download it anyway. Go on.by chris - Grand Prix 4
I think he's saying you went back on your original statement. Feel free to use my sig quote if you want, cos I rely on that condition.by chris - Grand Prix 4
Mike, I'm really confused. I just can't see how / why it runs that well! It is rather odd. However, doesnt matter why, just as long as it does.by chris - Grand Prix 4
Not well. Remember, minimum specs don't equal good performance, it just means it will work. As I said, you really need a 64mb card, eg GF3by chris - Grand Prix 4
Absolutely. This is a phenomenal effort, and I for one am VERY grateful, really well done. Let's hope this effort is put to use by Infogrames!by chris - Grand Prix 4
No, that is an amazing result for that system. Turn off 3d sound hardware acceleration in windows, that'll give you maybe 5 more fpsby chris - Grand Prix 4
LOL Jawaad, I'd be suprised if your 4mb gfx card enabled you to play gp3....I think gp4 system requirements are high, but graphics like that come at a price.by chris - Grand Prix 4
What do you mean? I presume you mean how much more powerful a system does it need. Basically, a 64mb gfx card is a must.by chris - Grand Prix 4
Well, I think PO is only CPU. When over 100% it has little affect because gp4 uses gpu MUCH more. So proccessor speed is less vital. Therefore a high po should make little difrence to game play.by chris - Grand Prix 4
Hi Rubeno, Well, gp4 box says you need a 400mhz processor, 16mb gfx card and 64mb ram. That's rubbish. To get it to run at 15fps you need 350mhz, 8mb gfx, 64mb ram. BUT its not worth it. Its ugly, sluggish etc. Your p500 is enough, but its all about gfx card. Its a new game, and this means it should use you gfx card to its full potential, NOT the processor. In theory procesor power shoby chris - Grand Prix 3
Nope. GP3 runs quite nicelt on a 8mb gfx card, 800*600 everything on.by chris - Grand Prix 3
Sidepod looks too empty to me. Compaq was much better.by chris - F1
"I've got 26 fps recommended by the system when running everything to the max. Whether I run it with 4xS FSAA or not... " Strange.by chris - Grand Prix 4
"some have been lucky to get it going on a 8MB card" Good wording. It is working, but not very well. In fact, not well enough; back to GP3 2000.by chris - Grand Prix 4
I agree. It is the best (for high end systems). Let's hope the patch fixes enough of the bugs to make it best by miles, and kicks F1 2002 to the gutter, because whatever faults it has, its still better than EA's offerings.by chris - Grand Prix 4
Is 3d hardware sound acceleration turned down in windows?by chris - Grand Prix 4
Hi Jawwad, Yes, the 4mb vga is the problem. GP4 needs a good vga card to run well, 64mb probably. In the manual it says that you must have a 16mb card for it to work at all, so your vga won't work.by chris - Grand Prix 3
Its all well and good to take the high ground here, but the fact remains that for most people gp4 is somewhat disappointing. Obviously a patch will fix this, but its worth remembering that its not what it was hyped up to be.by chris - Grand Prix 4
If I had time, I would. Also I don't have the game, and have exams til end of next week.by chris - Grand Prix 3
"and they count on users like us to do much of their beta testing." But they shouldnt. It should be a finished product.by chris - Grand Prix 4
No. Keeping it on low gives you better fps, don't know why...it doesnt make sense!by chris - Grand Prix 4
