Hi Rubeno,
Well, gp4 box says you need a 400mhz processor, 16mb gfx card and 64mb ram. That's rubbish. To get it to run at 15fps you need 350mhz, 8mb gfx, 64mb ram. BUT its not worth it. Its ugly, sluggish etc.
Your p500 is enough, but its all about gfx card. Its a new game, and this means it should use you gfx card to its full potential, NOT the processor. In theory procesor power shouldnt matter all that much, but p500 is about as low as you'd want it to go before its too annoying.
What gfx card do you have? That is the important question.
I don't think you can run it 1024*768 simply because of the processor bottlenecking the system, even if you had a GF3 right now.
But, with a GF3, XP1900 (if you can, maybe even xp2000) and 512mb ddr ram you're sorted. That gfx card will work blindingly, gp4 will look great.
I don't think that's overkill at all. Remember, gp4 needs high specs to run well, and other games at the moment....and in the near future.
Cheers,
Chris J
