The USADA and UCI (cycling governing body) are still arguing over who has the power to alter results. But now that the report is issued UCI will look horrible if they don't go along with stripping the titles. I've read it and it is very damning. It is far, far more than just "third party comment" as you claim. Probably 7-8 of the ex-teammates either witnessed Lance actually in

F1 I think it is a really stupid rule. Is the race even its own event now, or not? The idea that you can show up for a race with equipment that is perfectly legal to the technical regulations and be penalized because it isn't the exact same piece you used two weeks ago in another country is frankly bull****.
Better is the rule NASCAR uses: if you swap out any major part of the car after qua

F1 To patent something, you have to describe it in great technical detail. The teams would prefer to keep their secrets. Not to mention the whole process takes several years.
Also, I believe to be charged with infringement in most countries you would actually have to be selling a product, which F1 teams are not.
Old Lotus chassis plates used to say "design registration and patents appli

F1 If they wanted to prove the concept, they should have run it to the same weight as the other protos. They might as well have entered a motorbike. You can't build a proper car with dimensions like that, so what the hell was the point of it anyway?

Other Motorsports Yikes. They've got to improve the quality of drivers in the GT cars. Crazy thing is the guy in the Ferrari was blaming Davidson 100%.
There are a lot of things that make this race difficult - the long straights, the total darkness, etc - but I don't think you could blame any of those there. The guy just turned square into the side of Davidson's car.

F1 Wow, just saw the GP2 chaos. I'm not sure Monaco is the best place for these young guys to be learning their craft. Although F3 raced there for a long time and I don't remember things getting this dangerous.

Yeah, that was very scary. The catch fencing is now the weakest link in terms of safety.
It would also help if the drivers weren't such idiots. I know it's only GP3, but the Russian guy had

F1 For me there are a lot of things wrong:
1. It's no longer a fair sporting competition, with things like the DRS, KERS, obligation to use different tires, penalties for changing parts, etc etc. The same rules should apply to everyone at all times.
2. The new tracks suck. F1 has allowed itself to be bought by the Middle East, which is a terrible place for road course. And Tilke's terr

F1 It sounds like all the racing programs are in jeopardy. Honestly, I really couldn't give a damn what they call the F1 team. Lotus no more constructs that car than I do. Its as bad as cycling now; half the teams change their names every year. However, I would be a bit sad if the Lotus Indycar program got cut before it has really even gotten going.

Other Motorsports I had a Toshiba laptop that got hard drive damage from an impact. It worked intermittently for a few days before going dark completely. Mine had no external damage though, so I sent it in and Toshiba repaired it free.
Even if yours has obviously been dropped I would go to the manufacturer first - presumably you'll have to pay for repairs but I imagine they will do them, and without inval

F1 Yeah, it is not too hard, you don't need any specialized programs just windows explorer.
Just make sure you go to the itunes preferences first and tell it not to automatically sync.
Then explore your ipod and turn on hidden files. I found my files in a folder like ipod control/music. This is full of a bunch of folders like F##. These are full of music files. Just copy those files into

Off-Topic For me, it has to be all the fake stuff: DRS, KERS, having to use both tire compounds, parc ferme after qualifying, etc etc.
The same rules should apply to everyone at all times. That should be the basic premise for the rules of any sport. And it hasn't applied in F1 since 2002.
Honestly, I hate the current cars with their ridiculous proportions, but really the sporting regs are a mu

Other Motorsports I don't think it's really a matter of Republican or Democrat. The Dems have a majority in the Senate which has proposed a similar bill. Don't forget that the film industry, which has pushed for such bills, tends towards the Democrats if anything. The politicians have obviously noticed that people (even if a small minority) were pretty outraged about this stuff. I'm sure this i

Off-Topic I imagine the fact that he was going against an Englishman was a big part of it. I always felt like even if Benetton were cheating, we know they weren't the only ones in '94, and they were never conclusively found guilty. When Schumi was punished, for the Silverstone thing, it was massively overdone. He would have walked to the championship without that. So its hard to for me to fault h

F1 I've never heard good things about the safety standards at these South American races. But yellow flags or not, surely those drivers could tell that there had been an accident from that huge dust cloud?
I'd like to see a hard licensing system enforced by the FIA/ASNs. No more exemptions. Just because you can drive a car fast does not mean you're experienced enough to race it. F
