4th is not so bad, it's a shame I found traffic in my 2 last laps, top 3 was reachable
Hell yes! I was actually slightly worried that we might not get pole even with all that boost, but we pulled it off, so now all the best for the race

So here we are in Austria for the Race portion of the weekend. Vukcevic blitzed the field to take pole and is joined on the front row by the home team and their driver Jantsher. Winner of the last race, Alpenstrom heads the second row and it looks like we are geared up for a close exciting race.
And they are GO!
Great start by Edvardson but Silvestre has cut him right off
Copeman gets bogged down on the line
Importantly into the first corner Jantsher has gone around the outside of Vukcevic and into the lead!
Edvardson has not given up on passing silvestre yet though
Copeman has lost only one place from his poor start
Silvestre is fighting back with Edvardson up the hill
While Marinescu is trying to get by Hunsley
And he succeeds to climb to 7th
Whereas Silvestre couldnt quite manage it and stays behind Edvardson
After a big lunge by Copeman at Turn 2 Kederer retakes the place on him
Hunsley is now having to defend against McGregor
Who has the inside line at Schlossgold
He has not given up the place yet and used the inside line to keep hold of it
Vukcevic has no intention of staying behind Jantsher for long
At the start of the next lap he shows all the pace he has from qualifying and is up the inside into turn 1 for the lead!
Edvardson has made a mistake in turn one running wide and its going to let Silvestre get past
Edvardson has fallen to Marinescu and Hunsley
Marinescu trying to go outside up the hill is squeezed out allowing Hunsley through
And Hunsley continues on going right up the inside of Edvardson as well
Just behind all this Girard passes McGregor for 9th
McGregor now under pressure from Johnson pushes him all the way wide giving Johnson no chance
Alpenstrom is now seeing if he can get by Jantsher who is seeing his promising start fade from him
Marinescu is all over the back of Edvardson
Fastest lap for Vukcevic as Alpenstrom couldnt be any closer to Jantsher
He pulls out from the Austrian's slipstream to complete an easy pass much to the disappointment of the home fans
Vilela Silva and Antunis all embroiled in a battle of their own right now
Now things have settled down a bit lets take a look at the early standings
Marinescu has not settled down though and makes a move on Edvardson
The loss of pace drivers are experiencing after being passed out of corners is making them prey for the men behind and Girard makes easy work of Edvardson
And there is no way back just yet for the Finn

Tafuro isnt going to stand for that and takes the place back immediately into the next corner but definately needed the reminder while fighting with Maverick
We have not heard much from Brilley but he is thinking about a pass on Silva
You always got to be careful around here though as it leaves the door open for Vilela and so much for Brilley passing Silva he needs to find a way past Vilela now

Hunsley has managed to close the gap on Jantsher now and this is for third place

Tafuro is now making inroads on Johnson in 11th
Vilela is giving Copeman something to think about
Slightly faster by Vukcevic who is just putting in great lap after great lap

Yeah, somehow I agree with JW. Although I should have the pace seeing the perf, I don't have it. So...points are totally out of reality, I guess. But well...maybe Italy will wreck some cars in front of me...or France, which did so well last time

Kamikaze is still right on the exhaust of Kederer
And the stampeding Tafuro now has a five second gap to close to the next man
Which he is doing just that
Copeman has latched onto the group behind Kederer
Its three abreast at Remus
Copeman outbrakes both Vilela and Kamikaze to pass them both!
Kamikaze is being squeezed out of the pass by Copeman at turn one
Vukcevic is catching this battle fast as well and will be hoping to get through clean
He passes Vilela ok

Well Marinescu has messed up trying to make a move on De Boer and beaten himself
He rejoins behind Girard down to 9th
Further back Antunis makes a pass on Johnson
They are side by side now with Vukcevic just hoping to get through clean
Johnson refuses to yield and neither does Antunis
But Antunis has no choice and Johnson holds the position and Vukcevic safely laps one
Then the other
Silvestre is now under pressure from Girard
Who he is defending hard against as well
So Marinescu can close on the squabling pair
Tafuro makes yet another overtake today and this time the victim is De Boer
Girard also manages to get past Silvestre and this allows Marinescu to get onto the back of him
At the very next corner he is past him as well and the tyres just arent working well in this final stop for Silvestre
Tafuro has five laps to make up 3 seconds to Jantsher
And all the trouble with the lapper for Jantsher has closed the gap drastically, the austrian crowd is going to have to hold its breath for the remaining few
Tafuro is just lightning today and takes another man into turn 1
That is the last of the action though as Vukcevic takes the chequered flag for the win in comfortable style
Followed over by Alpenstrom who secures back to back podiums and Hunsley who grabs the final podium spot

Team Switzerland press release
Team Switzerland officially congratulates Mirko Vukcevic and Team Montenegro to their first impressive win. For ourselves, P12 was the max which was possible after the qualifying yesterday.
However, Team Switzerland ask for an investigation of the Italian car. It was that much faster than the rest of the grid, that we believe that they must have had any forbidden parts on the car. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they have already interchanged them already again with their Mafia connections!
