GPG Nations Cup S2: Finished! S3: Annoucements/Signup pg 52! (4 SPACES LEFT)

well, I actually see the story with Italy a bit different. I agree that I drove very hard in that situation but you were clearly behind me and didn't give up either before you crashed into me from behind. So that I would consider a clear race accident, with fault on both sides. However, this French driver simply overcooked it. When he goes in there like this, he has to break earlier...but would he have done that, I would have stayed in front. Instead, he brakes way too late and bumps me out in the gravel. That's what I always see when I'm in Paris, but this race track is not Paris! ;)

What an excellent opening race for Finland. Great, clean drive from Edvardson.

Welcome back to the Nations Cup where we are now in Austria at the A1 ring for the second round of the Nations Cup. We saw a very one sided race for Sweden in the end and it will be interesting to see if we have more of the same tomorrow but for now we have qualifying. With the bonus point now up for grabs in qualifying it puts added incentive on taking the top place on the grid.

So first man on the circuit and first to set a time today will be Silvestre for San Marino and we will see whereabouts that time will end up

Its imediately beaten by last rounds race winner Alpenstrom

Next man along is Edvardson who goes slower than both

Before Jantsher gives the crowd a cheer by setting a new best time

Disapointing by Kamikaze for Japan

While Hunsley sets an ok time to start

Marinescu comes in just behind that

While Silva is a little of the pace

Kederer maybe affected by Silva being slow off the blocks slots in a bit further back

Maverick comes in a second behind Jantsher

And Byrne comes in just under a second behind Jantsher, Plenty of times in the mid 1:12's at the moment

Current 5th and a six tenths back is Vukcevic

McGregor not quite on the ball for his first run

Followed over by another slowish Vanthoor

De Boer on the other hand is looking for back to back poles and makes it onto the second row for now

Johnson settles into the midfield

As does Vilela

Tafuro sets a time that sees him just off the back of the mess of drivers in the middle

Copeman is another one around the second mark behind Jantsher

Girard and Antunis also both setting times around a second back of Jantsher and it looks like we are in for a close Qualifying session today

Lastly Brilley comes over to set his time which leaves him something to build on

Standings after the first runs and it is fair to say there is nothing in it in the middle of the pack and just a metre later on the brakes could see you climb the table

De Boer manages to improve his time but not his position

Kederer manages to slot into the last points scoring position too

Tafuro is on an improved lap time and comes in just behind Kederer

Johnson gains a couple of places to go ninth

And Girard goes one better and takes eigth

Standings after the second runs

Silvestre is very close to Jantsher's first split time

But has fallen away at the second split

And fails to improve when he catchs up to Maverick

Byrne has set person bests in the first two sectors

But messes it up in the last and fails to improve on his time

The midfield is constantly being shaken up as Kederer creeps back up a few places he lost

Traffic strikes Vukcevic's lap stopping him improve

Solid work from Johnson keeps him 10th

McGregor finds a bit of pace to get into the top ten

Standings with three runs past

Traffic has been a real problem on the smaller circuit and this time its Silvestre who suffers

Girard sets a personal best in the first sector

Jantsher goes close to his as well

Girard has fallen back of Jantsher but is still bettering his previous efforts

De Boer goes close in the first

9th for Girard

Jantsher cannot improve his time after traffic from Alpenstrom

De Boer still close in the second

Again improving his time but not his place, DeBoer in the end after traffic affects his lap its a really turning into a minefield out there for traffic

Maverick is struggling today

Out of nowhere Vukcevic has killed Jantshers time

Jantsher just cannot get close to that time

Alpenstrom is on a personal best lap

But traffic after McGregor pitted in causes both Tafuro and Alpenstrom to lose good laps

Maverick improves to 16th but he wont be happy with that

With just a few drivers left noone manages to improve and Copeman is the last to cross the line

Your final standings in qualifying today.

After saving some performance Portugal had a expectable 21th place in the grind...

-----------------------------------------------------

With rather a lot of performance points spent, Switzerland is shocked of this bad position! It will be nearly impossible to get some points from there and this makes it double as hard. Of course we expected a difficult season, but this is definitely not what we are fighting for!

GPGSL : Team Owner of 'Maverick Track Performance' (MTP)
The Frenchies are reasonably happy to start 9th. With our aggressive Jean Girard behind the wheel, we hope another stirring charge up the field is on the cards come race time!
