So what's the result?

You gotta remember that although Phil didn't make a 2nd stop he would have lost time through tyre wear.

That incident between Ed and Phil was just plain bloody stupid.

2nd for Marko, good for championship...

I raised this before, and the response was that it is due to the extra fuel that has to be carried, which theoretically slows the driver down.

In GP4 it doesn't make such an inpact, does it?

This races sucks... I was in 17th somewere in the race and I finished in 21nd :S

Btw, this could be a RD error. Check if the race distance is set to 100%, if not then it's a RD error, if it's set at 100% then GP4 messed something up...

It does a bit, but i doubt it would be that much in a short race. I think it should be at least 20 seconds, regardless of weather. We can discuss it after the season to possibly change it next season.

I think the entire teams and driver perf values should be wiped back to season 1 values for the coming season, to give it all a bit more of a shakeup. It is kinda dull knowing who the top 6 will be every race, and even then that result will just make them faster for the next, and so on.

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it
Or maybe do something completely different with the performances. The championship points etc will stay the same but the performance will be given from bottom to top. So whoever finishes 22nd will get the most perf and the winner the least.

Just an idea ;) Don't shoot me for it ^^

If you are racing, keep on racing and get some points!

Dammit. Marko is more in front now. I need that championship lol! Sorry for the incident, Ed. :(

Although, it was slightly unfair on me, because I could have made my pitstop later if the laps had been right in GP4. Oh well. I'll win soon. Hopefully :)

Phoenix; that was a round to forget.

PS: Who got Fastest Lap?

you should did a second stop in that race:it was programmed in tsm;then there'are some drivers that did pitstop before of a precise lap(e.g.Mal has choosen lap 21 for 2nd pitstop)or after that lap.Maybe you should did your pitstop at lap 25.

about phoenix:this was a bad race:(.

I think we should do a lot of tests with same BHP and perf levels (0 on variation) and put 11 cars on a 1 stop and 11 cars on a 2 stop. Calculate the average advantage at the end and do it with like 25 races like that and calculate a total average of the averages you got per races. Use that and do some extra tests for in the wet.

why was the amount of pitstops set to 2 in first place anyway? i see nothing wrong with having 1 and 2 stoppers. after all the rest of the performance is based on luck and propability, too.

Are you volunteering to do that?

Also Mal has checked (AFAIK) that there is no mistake by the RD. If there is, the results would still stand. If there isn't a mistake by the RD, GP4 messed up and we don't have a rule for that, so the results would also stand. There is no point in complaining regarding that. Rule 17a allows you to protest against a race result, if you do so within 24 hours. If you want to do that, send your complaint to the RD (in this case mortal), he'll report to the GPGSLRS.

All the decisions regarding perfs have thouroughly been discussed within the GPGSLRS, but also in the thread. No opposition was detected. Now people get disadvantaged by a rule and it all suddenly needs to be revised. The system has worked perfectly for 8 seasons. The odd strange race should not, can not and will not change the system.

Loads of teams have been at the top of the championship and have won races. Check the first post and see how close the perfs actually were. There is no need wipe all the current perfs off the table. If we'd try to get more randomness in it, we could increase the variance, but it already is 600 or something, while the gap from the lowest perf to the highest perf is probably not more than 200. So in theory, anybody can win.

If you have ideas for new rules, please send it to the GPGSL account with proper back up and preferably with up and down sides.
So I have to send my complaint to Mal about I could have pitted on lap 25?

Not bad from VSM, but could do better, frankly. Hope things get better from now on. :)

Everyone knows that million-to-one chances happen 9 times out of 10; indeed, it's a common requirement in fairy tales. If the human didn't have to overcome huge odds, what would be the point? Terry Pratchett - The Science Of Discworld

Can we get exact TSM MD settings(laps, pitstops ,window) from the race, Mal, please?:-)
