GPG Super League - Season 3 (finished): Pre-season 4 winter test LAGUNA SECA online - S4 Calendar at p163

@chris
i see your point, but with perfs so close and races not 100% f1 length, those on 1 stop would have clear advantage. Edit:maybe not clear, certainly not in terms of crossing the finish line first, as not every time one stop strategy is best even in gpgsl length cca 60 minutes races. But it seems leapfrogging lots of two stoppers is possible.

if we can control it, why let it? some parameters are set all the same, like pitstop.ini and slipstream.
and what it doesnt cancel it out, what if most are same 1 stop winners, high points finishers?

@nick,ed
actually there is a chance to avoid it - if you notice it.
You go through cars on the grid before race start, look at their fuel loads on defpanel.
if noone has it over half of length (f.e. 23 out 45 is a one stopper) fuel, it' all two stopping.
now, if you notice a car with that load or more, you exit the game while they are still on grid, reload the saved qualy file, but go to sunday warm up and exit it, then to race. it's original file with reshuffled fuel loads.
you check cars on grid again.

if you still have another one stopper(ussually it's another car), you edit the qualy perf points from 22000,0 to 1000,0, to reflect the grid, and go to new race, as original race wont reshuffle anymore afaik.

if you're lucky, you'll get all two stoppers,if not you have to exit and start again .
how many times would rd have to try, is another question, i think i said three times with new race, and then if you still one stopping you go back to original race..
and RD ofcourse can miss it or forget it.

in the wet however prescheduled stops cause a mix, so some will stop twice for fuel, some three times.

fair point, the race lenght is a problem

used to be GPGSL's Nick Heidfeld
What great race for me, although I lost of couple of places at the end and i'm not sure why.

I think lets keep the race and learn from the error.

Guys, and girl :-).
Send your suggestions for changes to S4 to the GPGSL account. Send your S4 tracklist suggestions as well, we'll likely open that up by round 14. Would be good to get that sorted, then we can get a vote happening.
Teams can do their new liveries, helmets etc. during the first few races of the season, that's better than everyone having to wait weeks for the S4 start-up.
I'd like to get S4 started without too much delay.

The DXR livery should've been back to normal for the past 2 races now. It still shows Virgin Media on it :S.

IN other news, I am sticking with MPR for the next season and with the series because it's a worthwhile thing to stick onto. It's new and it's working alot more closely with the people instead of the organisers as previously shown with other series.

Suggestions for next season; *waits to flamed* no KERS or boosts?
And AGAIN:

Suggestions will:
-Have to be sent to the GPGSL account, NOT just thrown into the thread
-Have to contain back-up, NOT just be a random question like 'what if we'd XXX?'

These rules are there so we can have some overview in them and so we can see why people want it.
Suggestions that do not comply with these two simple rules will not be looked at.

Thank you.

I'm just interested if anyone wants to sign me for next season.

Glad to hear mate

Hopefully you get to paint a number 1 & 2 on the MPR for next season ;)

Season 9: Constructors' Champions
Wow, a lot of driver boosts this weekend!

With none of the top few championship contenders having a boost, we could get a surprise result in Monza.

X (@ed24f1)
I think Marko is doing the qualy and race weekend for us. I'll do FP on Friday. :-)

Ross is supposed to do Fridays with Keeley.

Wow so many drivers boosts ;) And then to realise I'm too late to have sent in the team boost :( As I've been away till today, anyhow that leaves some more for next races :)

Looking forward to Monza race! Hopefully some points

If you are racing, keep on racing and get some points!

@Mal
I'm doing Monza, dont mind you doing free practice, however since you're in a different time zone, it'd slow my schedule down, as I was thinking of doing both fp and qualy later today CET, Thursday here, for another 9,5 hours.
So when you'll wake up, it both probbably will already posted.:-)

@Randy
you'd have to let Stu know. iirc you never made an official announcement in the thread either, just said that you're thinking of Ross doing practice instead of you besides racing.

So no boost to our team, that's bad news for Monza, we'll lacking BHP. Still hoping for some points...
I'm waiting only Brazilian GP!!

FRIDAY FREE PRACTICE

It's round 12 of the GPG SUPER LEAGUE as the teams and drivers arrive to Monza, the home of ItalianEnglish team.
After the race in Hungary, Marko Aleksander(MPR) with first win this season, increases the lead in the standings, 6 points infront of Philip Oakley.(TSS)
Also this race will mark the return of the reigning world champ john Warrington(VSM), but before we get to that, here's the first part of the weekend, Friday free practice.
zero percent chance of rain, and with many drivers using their grip boost it should be exciting,

Tim van Dijk opens the session

Ruben Greidanus with Michael Jackson tribute helmet, sets fastest lap. IED using bhp boost, 830 horsepower same as MPR and TSS!!

SPECIAL THANKS TO
LEE aka LWC for letting GPGSL include his 2009 tyres in the mod!

Jalving spun. Car troble or plain mistake?

van Dijk comes across yellow flags caused by VSM car

Apparently something wrong by Jalving's car as marshalls, well one is picking the vehicle!

standings after half the practice, Walters rocks!

but Ruben has an answer!

pitstop buf for Nick van der Voort within last 5 minutes, loses 2 places in between,is contacted by RD, but decides not to protest, results stand.

Greidanus is on his lap, but suspension failure causes him to slow down, Grant runs into him, and Elleker pick up debris.

slow in lap for sure, all are ok luckily
