F1 ManagerThis series (originally established by Chris 2k6) gives 11 lucky players the chance to guide a Formula One team to success, whether it be Ferrari or Minardi. The game started in the 2003 season and has already developed greatly thanks to the choices each manager has made. Also real life events will come in to play, such as Red Bull wanting to take over Jaguar etc but, that doesn’t guarantee you success. Managers will also have to negotiate contracts with drivers and engine suppliers along with making many other decisions along the way.

knacki012When a team becomes available the first manage on the list will be offered the job, if he rejects the offer the next person on the list will be offered the job. If more than one team is available the first person on the list can choose which team to sign for. When a manager inherits a team they must aware that they will also inherit any drivers or team takeovers (such as Red Bulls takeover at Jaguar) as well as the team’s current budget.

- In Q1 all 22 cars compete with the slowest 6 drivers are elminated from the session.

- Drivers also receive perf boosts for starting races and taking part in Free Practice and Testing Sessions.
- Perf points are deducted if a driver fails to finish a race and also if they continue competing in the series passed their IRL retirement from all forms of single seater racing.
C) Test Sessions- Every team has the opportunity to take part in Pre-Season and Mid-Season test sessions that occur throughout the season.

- Teams can attend as many mid-season test sessions as they wish, but must also pay a fee of £750k for each session they do attend.
- At a test session, each team has the option of focusing on improving pace, which increasing their BHP value and also slightly increasing their failure rate, or on reliability which does the opposite.
- Team Managers can choose any of their contracted drivers to take part in a test session. Unless otherwise stated, each team will attend the session using their Free Practice driver lineup.
3) Managers and Managing- Originally all managers were randomly assigned to their teams.
- If space becomes available in the series the space is offered to the first person on the waiting list.
- Anyone current managing in the series may also apply for any vacant seats. In this case the person who is offered the position is chosen at random.
4) Actvity Checks- Activity checks are carried out on a race by race basis in order to encourage managers to engage with the series.
- All Managers will be required to post at least once between the day that the free practice results are published and two days after the race is published.
- If a manager fails to post within the activity window, they will incur the following penalties:
1st Warning - 10 Point WCC Deduction
2nd Warning - 15 Points WCC Deduction and £5m fine
3rd Warning - Expulsion from the series
- Warnings can be avoided by informing us beforehand that you are going to be inactive.
- If a manager is removed from the series all penalties applied to their team will be rescinded once a new manager is appointed.
- Any posts which are regarded as spam or clearly have only been posted in order to circumvent the activity penalties will not be counted in the activity check.
