It was a bit irritating for sure (glad I didn't open my wallet to SKY). It has some good factors but it certiainly didn't gel in the way the BBC coverage did.
Cons: Some of the I assume Sky News pundits were bland and you wondered what they were doing there. Adverts.. ok when there's bugger all happening SKY will obviously want to please their commercial partners but it was a bit trigger happy. The VT i.e pre recorded clips are bland and boring, feels a bit too much like they're covering Eurovision! and certainly not want you want to see when there is actually action on track. Whilst I have nothing against Simon Lazenby I prefer Jake Humphrey so far, likewise Lee Mckenzie to Georgie whatever her name is .Crofty and Davidson didn't feel as chatty as they did on 5Live which is a shame because the informal feel of the BBC live practice worked well (inspite of Davidson being a cock).
In someways it felt a bit too much "football" which I admit I'm bound to dislike because I hate every facet of football.
Pros: Martin Brundle, as valuable as ever and he took to pit-lane punditary aplomb, it almost felt like his grid walk. Damon Hill didn't do too badly inspite of his "um.. erm.. ah. umm... errr"
