2008 Season

Considering its the 20 year anniversary since the passing of Enzo Ferrari. Does anyone else think the new car (launched in 3 days-I cant wait) will be named after the great man?

Or would an Enzo Ferrari road and formula 1 car confuse too many people?

Who knows casabonka who knows... Maybe something like the F2003-GA when Agnelli died, so maybe this will be the F2008-EF?

The FIA confirmed the 2008 entry list, its all equal than the 1st post of this thread.

Formula One racing’s governing body, the FIA, has published the official entry list for the 2008 world championship.

Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen will take charge of the number one car after winning his first world title last season, while McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen will be numbered 22 and 23 respectively following McLaren’s exclusion from the 2007 constructors’ championship.

Force India are the only team still to finalise their race line-up, with their second seat, alongside incumbent driver Adrian Sutil, still to be confirmed.

I think that case is closed. McLaren's new car will be investigated precisely. I'm expecting double wins for the Finns. Räikkönen will win, Kovalainen will be the second and Massa will let Räikkönen to pass for the championship. No wins without Finns!

Does anybody know what all of the driver aids that are being banned are? Most places seem to say traction control, engine braking 'and others'. What are the others?

And what exactly is engine braking? I assume that it's the engine reducing revs to aid in braking...

Engine braking isn't being removed (realistically it couldn't, though technically it's fairly easy, it would be a massive change), more that the electronics can't manage engine braking any more.

No idea what the others are. Electronic management of the diff probably, if that was still permitted.

I guess its the adjusting engine braking aswell, drivers were able to adjust that incar too.
