It's not gonna happen. There isn't smoke when they're warming the tyres up going to the grid, so it's not about to happen at the start itself either.

Great, I didn't think of that. I was looking forward to the smoke at the start, aswell... do you think that there's no smoke anymore due to the different compounds they use?

Nah, else it would have happened during the tyre war too. It's probably some very smart electronics on the diff or something.

Probably some like you get in super-slow-mo replays, but you'll struggle to see it normally I think.

I hope I'm proved wrong though!

I think he was referring to my mention of the dummy starts they do on the warm-up lap.

I just saw a video of a warmup lap on Sports Personality 2007. And guess what I saw - a lot of smoke coming out of the Toyota's rear tyres!!! =D

Maybe we will see some smokey starts. It might only be two or three cars, but that's how it used to be anyway.

Toyota of Trulli always had smokey starts, he has had it so many times this year

Albers has a confirmed Audi DTM drive. He will not be in F1 in 2008.

Vijay Mallya, owner of Spyker, now Force India, confirmed Sutil for the 1st car, and they will confirm the 2nd car´s driver before end of 2007.

Yep, Force India's line up will become apparent before christmas according to Vijay. Also Williams have signed Nico Hulkenberg as their test driver to replace Nakajima :) .
