I was talking about Nelson Piquet Senior, the father of Nelson Angelo Piquet. His mum is French or?

Nelson Piquet's (the father) mother is Chlotilde Piquet and she is French
Nelson Angelo Piguet's (the son) mother is Sylvia Tamsma and she is Dutch

massinha

In my country say "Felipinho" ;)

Both are crap...

Other thing, Nelson Piquet jr, was born in Germany or no? I think it was because his father ran a race in Hockenheim in the 80´s.. I´m right or wrong?

no, he was referring to how sometimes in brazil they add 'inho' to the end of the name, e.g. Nelsinho, Rubinho, and therefore Felipinho ;)

Not according to Ferrari it won't.

Ferrari's car for the 2008 season will be 'completely new' compared to the current F2007 according to team technical director Aldo Costa. His comments come despite strict rules which limit the amount of radical changes teams can make.

"It will be a completely new car even though you can't make radical changes because of the regulations," Costa told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "The front of the car will be different with different shaped sidepods and the wing will be new too."

"Our first tests at Barcelona and Jerez were positive, we simulated four races with no problems," he added. "There will be new components in the suspension and gearbox with even quicker shifts."

"We intend to start 2008 strongly and will push to the maximum during the winter to show up in good condition at the start of the season," he concluded.

I hope it works well, cause frankly, the F2007 wasn't that hot.

Ok, so I correct my post, The F2008 won´t be an F2007 evolution :)

I remember Di Montezemolo saying it would be an evolution, but I bet Costa knows more about it!

But every new Ferrari have been more or less evolution of earlier car(s).. Nothing radical like RedBull cars every year (till now).

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

According to the Spanish press, the 2nd seat of Force India is between Fisichella and Roldan Rodriguez. Who do you think that will run in 2008?

I heard it was between fisi and Klien actually, but I think they'll end up getting Fisi.

I don´t know, Fisi is fast and experienced, but Force India doesen´t want young drivers?

They already have Sutil for that. They'll want someone that can help in the development of the car, and Fisi can get them that.

car launches

Jan 6 Ferrari
Jan 10 Toyota
Jan 14 BMW
Jan 16 Bed Bull
Jan 29 Honda
Jan 31 Renault

I have a question regarding car launches.

Shall we open a new thread for car launches or shall we
post the pictures of the new cars in this thread?

If we post in this thread it will become heavier for
dial-up users so I suggest a new thread for all car launches with 56k warning.

If we start a new thread for each car launch it could become difficult to follow for occasional users,
as the thread could slip to p2 before they saw it.

I think we can even ask a mod to stick it until season begins. What do you think?
