Dave you said two different things. Fact.

And this aero @#$%&... I have NEVER said I am right. I have only guessed, and so does everyone else. These aero engineer's have only stated me wrong, and left it at that, not often has someone posted something that has proved me wrong, only Gav. All I have done is my opinion, in which each time I have 'apparently' been wrong, without any evidence suggesting how I am wrong :S and be honest with yourself... who except the people inside know how specific components on F1 cars work?

Ive noticed Dave, it seems asif you can never be wrong and because of your forum status here, that your opinion is number1. Anytime someone has tried to differ with you on subjects the mind that seems all knowing on the face of it gets alot narrower ;-)

The fact that you chose to ignore my post doesnt help your cause btw.

The amount of time some of you spend arguing in this forum is both astonishing and slightly worrying.

As for the matter at hand, good luck to him. I've never been a nascar fan and probably never will be, but F1 will miss him. I don't think he would have got a competitive drive in F1 next year, and so its probably best for him and I think he's got the right mentality, ability and personality to go a long way in nascar.

I just hope Hamilton gets his seat.

I must say that I was wrong when I said that Montoya crashed MS in Sepang 2002.

@To all those people who think F1 is boring: Please tell me why do you watch it then, and if you already left it, please do not try to convince people who watch F1 that is is boring just because you think it is.

You do not think JM belongs to modern F1 (because lack of overtakes, car setup, pit stops, etc)? ok now he will go to other series and if you prefer a driver than a racing series, ok follow the driver, there is not way to fight because this.

He is leaving, ok, whatever you think will not change anything, his wins will not be deleted, his mistakes and what they caused neither, simple.

I hope Villenueve not to follow him btw ;)

@To F1 supporters: Let's change the page, Prost, Senna left, we still watch F1, soon MS will leave, then Alonso and Raikkonen, and F1 will continue if people follows it.

Bottom line - JPM is going to NASCAR for one reason, no matter what his fanboys and he himself says, and that reason is this: he's a failure in F1.

That's it folks. If he had been successful he would still be in F1. There is a reason no offers from the top teams in F1 were forthcoming - they view him as a inconsistent, hotheaded car wrecker who can't be trsuted to score points for the team or bring a car home. In my opinion Ron Dennis made up his mind last year when JPM cost him the constructors title.

I for one will not miss him a bit. He might be successful in NASCAR, but then why should I or any F1 fan care?

i havn't been so shocked since i heard Alonso was moving to Mclaren.
the only think that makes sense to me is that he found out how much of a bad driver he is when he was Crushed by Kimi.
i mean it happens nearly to all drivers, but they keep trust on themselves, they saythe team unjusted us or something)and they still think they are good and they countiue, but if i was Montoya, and Kimi was that faster than me with no excuses, then i would drop out of F1 just like Montoya did.i don't won't to stay there and just make money, knowing that i am not that good,Coulthard for example.
