can someone explain what happened to alonso when he was pushing behind Schumacher. He was really close and suddenly lost power on the straight, Klien overtook him and he was between Klien & Raikkonen.

Looked like he pushed the pit-limiter ?

(Then he overtook Klien in the chicane and let him pass again)

yeah, i was under the impression that it was a 10 place grid penalty...and it shouldnt have mattered whether montiero, trulli or jpm set a lap or not. he should've been last.

great race.

raikkonen and fisichella...supreme

fisichella and button...crap (im sorry to say fisichella was crap, he's one of my
favourite drivers, but losing 20 seconds in 10 or so laps isnt good).

sato is an idiot as well and i agreed with every word trulli said about him. apart from the fact he should get out of f1...the guy is entertaining after all :P

Alonso let Klien past, as his team ordered him to do so that they could avoid punishment. At least thant's what he said on press conference.

great drive from kimi

great overtaking from alonso on schumacher

japan needs to get a good driver so honda can employ him instead of the monkey they have at the moment and get rid of the kamikaze happy one...

Yup, and take a look at this:

I didn't know that Kimi & Alonso were that close in the first corner!

You can say whatever you want, but I think this was a race where Renault matched McLaren perfectly again. Alonso and Kimi were both quick and deserved it to win

with Alonso slowing to let Klien pass ITV said the FIA told renault to let the red bull pass. Renault said they had already done that, did it anyway then the stewards supposidly said they didn't need to, so it was one big stuff up.

But this was how itv told it and as they didn't mention it again it stands to reason that it may not have happened that way.

Webber wasn't bad himself.

Having Pizzonia around really motivates him.

Kimi and Alonso are light years ahead the rest... Look at lap times:

1 9 Kimi Räikkönen McLaren-Mercedes 1:31.540
2 5 Fernando Alonso Renault 1:31.599
3 6 Giancarlo Fisichella Renault 1:32.522
4 3 Jenson Button BAR-Honda 1:32.754
...

A pitty the strategy of Alonso because didn't let him fight at the end of the race for the victory...

You've got to wonder how much time the FIA error (assuming it was) cost Alonso in total... there was the 5secs dropping back to CK, then the re-passing of him, then catching back up to Schumacher...

Great race though

MWah . i dont know if it is a error , becouse he cut the road and wited for klien , he could go directly into the slipstream of klien and take the place the next corner .

What an amazing race , lets go from the start jv didnt nothing wrong in my eyes ron denis said it wasn't diliberate so there you go , alonso's first lap was mega and he set the early pace if you look at his word he said it cost him the "chance of the win" but u'd have to say he was unlucky to pass all those cars and then get stuck behind others amazing move by kimi super stuff but fisi i think cracked there was no need to put him self offline in the last chicane anyhoo glad to see we're ditchin the quali format which lead to all this passing ffs when will the fia learn we care about the races more than quali

LOL i imagine the Alonso fans are'nt that bothered that Kimi won today, afterall he's the world champ & kimis not, simple.

Both drivers proved today that they are both world class, Kimi still had a distinct car advantage so you cannot really compare one above the other.
