Whatever happened to...

Luciano Burti?!

He had that huge crash at Spa in 2001 which put him in hospital for a week, and he didn't return for any of the remaining races in 2001. We were told he had become a Ferrari test driver in 2002, and since then NOTHING...

Does anyone know what he's up to these days?! Is he racing in another formula? Why no apparent interest to return to F1?

I remember him saying he had something lined up for this year.... I guess maybe next year testing for some minor team perhaps?

"I have something lined up for xxx" is a very careful way of saying "My career is over anyway and I am not sure how I will pay my rent".
