Codies have confirmed F1 2010 will be available to download via Steam

Cool, that is good news.
Hope the price isn't too high.

Steam is so handy buts it's a pain when you see games in the shop a lot cheaper.

the console versions seem very "floaty" and not very glued to the track, perhaps its the crap driving though. there is a manual pit control option, i wonder if you get a penalty for speeding in the pitlane.

i,m waiting for a video shot from a static camera or direct video output from a race so i can see better wether or not the cars look realistic, hard to judge from shaky camcorders that keep moving

little bit disapointed with the awesome bit in the pit when the engineers lift up the timing monitor and they've fired up the car and it trundles out of the garage....then cuts to a blank screen

wouldve liked to have seen the grid formation lap.

hopefully that whole proceedure of the driver straightning his fingers in the gloves and the timing monitor thing will still be used for qualifying so you can go down the pitlane and out on track

nice to see that Codemasters have got that true to life and the wheel tethers fail to stay attached to the wheel :p

Graphically the wet weather looks good, but the handling looks suspect. Looks no different to driving in the dry and he was using all of the kerbs like normal. Hopefully the driving aids were on.

it did look like damage was turned off so i wouldn't be surprised if the other aids were also on. especially seeing the other vids where people are spinning putting the power down.

from what i've seen, in terms of how much of a sim its going to be, it looks as though they've pitched it around GP4 level.

which i guess is not a bad compromise if they want to reach a wide market

I think I'd be quite happy with handling that's quite similar to GP4. It might not be the most incredibly realistic, but it's not awful either. It'd be great if over-taking was more of a challenge than in GP4 though!

The videos at that site are very good. According to the Codemasters forums he will soon upload a video of Korea - which will be interesting to see.
