LS's Tip of the week
ESSENTIAL OILS aren't essential unless you're an engine, a gearbox or a twat
is there a way to download it without using itunes? i don't have it as i don't use an mp3 player, i just buy CDs and rip them to my pc, and use the CDs in my car.

is there another place where i can buy it as a one-off song, and don't have to subscribe or install anything?

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael
play.com are selling it i believe

WTF is the point of buying it now!? Surely you'd need to wait 'til tomorrow for it to count towards the Christmas No.1 chart?

saturday night midnight is the crossover from 1 week to the next. so effectively they could announce the number 1 at 1 minute past midnight, saturday night/sunday morning if they wanted to, they just choose to do it at around 7pm on sunday evenings instead.

and so we buy it between now and the next saturday night at 11:59pm, for it to be number 1 on next sunday (20th), meaning it will be number 1 friday 25th december.

it's number 1 in downloads on itunes in the UK at the moment, i think that's what Neil is referring to.

I'm pretty sure that list isn't dynamic, and has to be updated manually. It pretty much mimics what the iTunes chart looked like yesterday.

Currently : Amazon no.2 | HMV no.1 | iTunes no.1 | Play no.1

Edit: The iTunes chart on the website doesn't seem to update quickly, so here's a pic from the iPhone store. [twitpic.com]

"I'd love to know what goes on in that crazy head of yours sometimes, Sim..." - Locke Cole
This would make a great #1, I reckon:

Gui, just give up, not everybody likes Love Actually.
what's even more galling about the X Factor winner getting to no.1 is that the song, apart from not being his own material (we don't expect that of their 1st single anyway), but it's a bloody cover, and not only is it a cover, it's a cover of a god damn Miley Cyrus song from 6 months ago! yes, Miley Cyrus, the girl who plays Hannah Montana (if you have little girls in your family you'll know who she is), and she's the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus of Achy Breaky Heart fame!

he's already lost any credibility he might ever have got, by agreeing to do that particular song! (of course it won't have been his choice to do it, but he could have suggested a better song couldn't he?)

According to the Metro, Rage Against the Machine's song is owned by Sony-BMG, just like the X Factor winner - so Cowell makes money whoever wins :P

Due to the voting system in Germany, Governments are always made up of coalitions of different parties. At the last election, an almost unprecidented result saw the CDU/CSU (rough equivilant of the Conservatives) go into Government with the SPD (rough equivilant of Labour)
Firstly, to be blunt, read the thread redsam.

Secondly, sim why is journey relevant? is that an anti Glee thing?

Thirdly, what Miley Cyrus song is it, muks? link me up a version

Fourthly, just to keep the devil's advocate thing going from my previous post, is "now you do what they told you" an ironic lyric to have repeated ad nauseum after downloading a single because a facebook group told you to?

Fifthly, I don't often get to write 'fifthly', so cheers.
maybe "now you do what they told you" relates to the people who will buy the X Factor winner's song, because Simon told them to?

here's the Miley song, it was in the UK charts this summer:
