Right... so what he's saying is that they will have failed if they have a rival for the number 1 spot? @#$%& sake. It also shows how far up himself he is. Also, "these three"? Is he forgetting that only one of them at most can end up being Christmas No.1?

Seems like he's actually freaked out that there's a threat this year to his recent monopoly of the No.1 chart position at Christmas. He's had it every year since what, 2006? Or does it go back even further?

i liked how he said it was insulting to the people who watch the show and buy the music, like this campaign is calling them stupid. YES, THEY ARE STUPID, Simon, that's the point of this campaign. like i said earlier, they could release a nursery rhyme and it would be a guaranteed no. 1, people aren't buying it because they like the song the winning artist will record, they will buy it because they think they should buy it having watched the show these past months.

And they don't even watch the show to see new talent, but because they want to live with the candidates. They aren't following the winner a year after. They voted for him (it usually is a him) because he's sooooo cute and buy his CD because he's soooo cute. They play it the first month and then it'll be put in the cabinet next to the Backstreet Boys and Take That and start collecting dust.

The Facebook Group was featured in The Sun today.

i couldn't see the group from the F/B link posted in the first post Dave, but it's still there, i've just looked. unless there are multiple groups using the same exact picture on the left? people are still posting in the group.

Usually when a Facebook group goes huge (like 500k+) Facebook take it down for an hour to check to see if it's a genuine group and people aren't just being spam invited.
