It's on its way! :D

It's cost me 45 pounds, including shipping. I'm glad I finally found one now, they are quite rare :D

Nice model Nick! I really wish Minichamps made the two BAR showcars from 1999, where Villeneuve's car had the Lucy Strike livery and Zonta's had the 555 livery.

Iv been on here for a while but never posted my collection. So here it is. My 1st model was r25 in 2005. As you can see mattel mp4/20. i didnt know much about minichamps and mattel back then.

Two mp4/21's by accident. Was out bidded on team edition of ebay so ordered standard. Then day later the guy gave me second offer so i accepted. Great quality models though.

Did have 5 hamilton test version, but sold 4 on ebay and theres a 1/43 kimi sauber. Prodrive Subura championship set and the schuey ferrari came free with f1racing subsciption some time ago.

good stuff there DJSkyline, and RMS Lusitania, your room looks like a model shop!

and i thought i had a lot of models...

mind you, i've got 3 boxes full of 1:43 models packed away, so probably have over 50 1:43s, and about 9 1:18s.

anyone seen the Internal Combustion Engine model kit made of plastic? in this country it's issued by Haynes: Click

it looks ok and i'd like to buy and build one. i had a look at one in Borders book shop, the box was open. it was £24.99 but online it's more expensive, but i don't think it's worth that much. if it was £10/£15, i'd buy one.

i've had this model for a few years now but i don't think i've ever posted pics of it, so here they are. it's a 1:18 Aston Martin Vanquish from Die Another Day, made by Beanstalk.

when you move the switch under the front of the car, the grille opens up to show the weapons:

the passenger seat is an ejector seat, but i've blu-tacked it down as it won't stay down itself:

the roof panel is removable, so the ejector seat can work:

the 2 vents in the bonnet have covers underneath, so you can hide the guns if you want, or slide the covers away to poke the guns through:

i looked at it on my shelf and thought i should sell it to free up some space, but i took it out and it's really nice and heavy, so i might keep it now :)

i fancy getting a DBS from Casino Royale as i think it looks awesome, but apart from the usual opening doors etc., it doesn't do anything. like this one by ERTL with the playing card graphics on the box: Click

i've seen it for £15 in a Tradex-type shop near me.

I think he means the old Q, which was Desmond Llewelyn

I know, I was just being sarcy. John Cleese was Q in Die Another Day, so Desmond won't mind even if he wasn't dead, as he wasn't in charge of Bond in that film.

unexpectedly picked up these 2 models cheaply today. i went to that fancy goods shop i mentioned earlier (used to be Tradex, closed down, now it's "Big D";) to see if they'd reduced the Aston DBS from Casino Royale, but it was still £17.49 and they had loads of them.

but surprisingly they had these Mattel 1:18 cars. they only had 1 Ferrari, but about 7 Fisi R25s. they were only £9.99 each so i got one of each, purely to convert to tobacco and sell on ebay.

if the F2005 had been Schumacher i'd have kept it for myself as i only have up to his 2004 car, so am on the lookout for the F2005 and an F248 from '06. pity the R25 wasn't Alonso either, that would be more attractive to buyers. it's a shame but there you go, at least they were cheap. they might have had more and sold them, or this might have been all they ever had, because they didn't have any the last time i went there.

don't know why Rubens' head is leaning forwards, might have to snap it off and re-glue it in a more backward position:
