Received the Lewis MP4-22 today, it's great. as predicted only received the one model, not the 3 that were in that order, and also my credit card has only been charged for 1 model plus postage (although i still have the pending charge for the whole order, hopefully that'll disappear in the next few days), so when the others in the same order get shipped, i'll only be charged for the models themselves, as i've already paid for the postage with this delivery.

I also took some pics of the '07 show car next to the 22, to see how different the shape is, and how the same livery fits on 2 different carshapes:

(the red bits only look orange because of the cameraflash, they're red really)

seems like GPL's "delivery by Christmas" promise was fulfilled, for me at least, so now i can wrap it up and give it to myself on Christmas Day ;)

anyone else still waiting for anything they promised to deliver by Christmas Day?

i only bought 1 of these as it's just the standard racecar, and not limited edition or anything, so not worth buying lots of them for ebay.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

Muks , by removing the pending order do you mean the shipping expenses? Because those pending orders will be there to let you know how much you "really" have in your account when considering the purchases, so they'll only clear when the purchases are paid for. Like a ledger and available balance

when i use my credit card, before the transaction is listed in my online account, the charge is a "pending" charge, meaning it just says "Pending transactions: £12.99", if i bought a DVD for £12.99 the day before (charges can be pending for up to a week, it just depends on how quickly the retailer/credit card company can process the transaction). then a couple of days later the Pending transaction will return to zero, but the transaction that was pending is now listed, so it'll say "15th Decmeber - £12.99 - Play.com" or whatever.

if i also spent £10.00 on petrol that same day, the pending charges would be £22.99, then when the DVD order goes through, £12.99 will be deducted from the pending charge leaving the £10.00 pending, until that transaction goes through and is listed as "17th December - £10.00 - Petrol station".

so a few days ago, my pending transaction was at £114.96, for 3 models plus delivery from GPL.

but then i got an actual transaction listed as "£32.98 - GrandPrixLegends" meaning they've charged me £24.99 for the model plus £7.99 delivery, which is fine, but the £114.96 pending charge should now disappear, because they can't charge me the rest for the other models because they haven't even got them in stock yet, let alone sent them to me. but their system must only allow the customer to be billed the whole amount initially, so you get a pending charge for the whole order, until it gets adjusted so you only get an actual charge for the model(s) you receive.

but sometimes they may charge you to verify the card details, then remove it so the pending charge doesn't go through, as they did before when i made the order back in June.

Yeah, big difference between the showcar and then real one. The MP4 22 has a wider side than the show car, including the front wing which has that little flappy thing at the top.

You'd never really know the difference if you look at it normally.
