ah ok, this will mean there is a problem with your dat. the physical part of your track. You should check if all the "flags" are in the track, and wether they are in the right place. And see if your ccline is correct (best to delete it at first so your sure its not the ccline thats causing the problem)

Can i check my track if i don´t do the cc-line?????

I check all flags and i think that are correct, it can be possible that be a other problems, or only a flags???

i have seen no track that crashed without ccline with good flags, so i'm 99% sure that the flags are somehow misplaced. If you really cant figure it out, give me a PM, i'll give you my email so you can send it and i'll have a look at it.

I've just had an urge to make tracks! Someone answer the following for me, and please if your gonna get angry don't post:

-The dat is the "physical" part of the track. How do I make a 'ghost track' ie no scenary just the flat track in place, pitboxes as well

-How do you make banking?

emeber I have only just began to mess around with GP4editor, so don't laugh, don't make fun, and please don't get angry

>>How do I make a 'ghost track' ie no scenary just the flat track in place, pitboxes as well

If you're trying to make a track that looks like my Dijon (you can DL the video in the 1979 mod thread), it's fairly easy.

First, create the entire dat (including verges, banks, elevation, banking, pitlane, kerbs and flags).

Then export Dat to 3DS.
Open the 3DS in ZModeler.
Export the track tarmac (DTrack).

Then, in 3DEditor:
Import the GP4 tarmac in a new scene and delete all other scenes.

Ingame, your track will look more or less like my Dijon track.

>>How do you make banking?

Double-click on a track sector, then select "track banking". Then enter a number in "banking amount".

If you follow Maverick's tutorial to the letter, you should be able to create a ghost track within a day.

Didn't you get some kind of warning when you reached 1500 sectors ?

Apparently GP4 can't handle more than 1500 or 1600 sectors.
You should rebuild your track on a smaller scale, sorry.

Now my turn to sound stupid.

Just spent 30mins making an oval, and came to the pit lane bit, but I couldn't move the sector. I messed around with some settings which just screwed it up, so I've had to loose it all:(

So how do you move that first sector to where you want. I can't find an answer anywhere!

Thanks

But all that does is stretch it one way or another. I can't actually seem to move it!

you will only move one sector, after that you also move the second sector, that will "unstretch" it.

Ok, thanks.

I've made the track with the pit flags, and went to check that they worked, but the game froze when I clicked drive the game froze and I had to ctrl-alt-del . I've checked the flags, and they seem OK, so anyone any ideas? I haven't touched the cc-line!

Thanks
