According to Luca Colajanni, Massa has a skull injury. So that is at least cracked, at worst fractured. In which case he'll be out at least a couple of races.

Considering the reason Massa had his accident was because Barachellos car was falling apart I think to use his 13th posistion as a comparison is not correct.

Wait to see fuel loads. Go Alonso, and Go Lewis :D. Question is, Vettel and Webber, will they get swamped by Lewis, Kova and Kimi???

Im predicting a t1 incident ;-)! And Nico to benifit ;)!

Exciting session but extremley disapointed with the Brawn pace. High fuel or not!

edit - Dave, really?!!! Eeeek!!! :( been having awesome races aswell. Now the question we all want to know, if its true, and he will be out for a race or two, who will be the replacement? Who else would lovelovelove to see Schumacher back?

"Trulli was slowing down like he wanted to have a picnic" LOL

well that's a relief i suppose. if it been a few centimetres higher and hit him through the visor, it could have been so much worse.

If he does happen to miss a few races, it would be great to see Luca Badoer finally get a go in the Ferrari (and get that elusive point) after so many years, but i don't know if they will give it to him or some young driver (they tested a few Italian F3 drivers last year i think)

Or if it had bounced and hit a few cm lower then it could have easily gone straight through his chest with the speeds he was going at... :|

His chest is INSIDE the car. It'd have to pull some funky Matrix stuff to get to that.

It's times like this we get some fun in F1 :D

That looked like a horrendous accident for Felipe. Glad to hear he's alright cos on the onboard shot it look horrifying. Looks as if it knocked him out and then he woke up again judging by his late reaction to the braking

wasn't this what killed Ratzenberger?

i think it is Badoer.

EDIT: it is actually not clear, they just have two test drivers. [www.autosport.com]. Whether they go with experience or youth will be interesting to see. Maybe Vitantonio Liuzzi, he is Italian after all...

Notice both the accelerator and brake fully down after the impact.

And Earnhardt, and a whole bunch of others.

But this is just what RTL is claiming. It could be complete BS.

Nobody will race tomorrow even if Felipe can't, drivers change must be done before qualy.
Warning, this horrible cut above the eye that can be fixed with a few stiches might be disturbing to some.

Dude, you really should link to that with a warning...

yes, that is quite a disturbing image

Just a little cut, looks worse then it probably is..

F1.com is reporting that Felipe has "escaped serious injury" and was evacuated to hospital for precautionary tests, so hopefully no fracture at all.
Changed it.
