dear god, the renault looks a car someone would of do to participate in gay parades.

Only that red (or orange?) and yellow would look really good, though all this mix everywhere unfortunately is too visually "heavy" in my opinion.

I don't really care too much about the colors, honestly, but it is that front nose which I don't like, it is very bukly and simple.

Anyway, look at here: [my.ing-renaultf1.com]

At the top of the page (the banner) there is a car (the R29, I guess) with a much more stilized front nose, could it be the current car a provisional version in order to be presented?

Though, just read people are calling "Frankestein cars" models like this (including Bmw too)

I like the variety of 2009 cars. Renault is ugly but I like it. After a long time you can actually feel that f1 isnt one make series. Thats why I like renault, because it is so different from ferrari although ferrari is the best looking of them all. And I like mclarens fat apperance. Cant wait for newey designs RBR and STR.

whats next BMW?

After seeing this render from Renault page I have the suspicion the car they presented today is just a test version and the presentation car.

Maybe Ali that is what it was meant to look like and will do, but remember the car failed its crash test so it could be something they are working on.

Or that could be last years car with the wings they tested over winter?

I like it!

its the first car where the rear wing looks normal

these cars are ugly as hell, but are growing on you ever so slightly, its interesting to see all the different solutions to the new regs

At first sight that is what I though, but the rear of the car is identical to the one presented...well, I think it is just my hope to see a nicer car ... :-S

Renault is pig ugly, but as someone said, it's nice to see some different takes on the regulations again, even if everyone ends up using very similar shapes in a year or 2. For now, I just love that Renault have gone and thrown the book away.

You mean they've removed the pedal box?

I got used to the old ING livery but even being a Renault fan I don't think I cwill ever like this livery.

Lo, gav. The only way to keep Piquet safe is to remove the engine.:)

Yes, the Renault looks ugly, both livery and shape, but I expect we'll get used to it, especially if they start winning races again.

Funny to see a smart-arse comment about how teams wouldn't build an illegal car, yet it turns out the Ferrari is. The exhuasts protroud through the bodywork too much and will have to be trimmed down according to Auto Motor Und Sport.

That McLaren with the 08 spec wing that PDLR's driving - are you sure it's the 09 car? Looks like last year's car to me, it's got the old-shaped sidepod openings. (The new car's sidepod openings are oval, and that one has a flat upper ege.)
