@Iceman and aagancia: Kimi never lost his speed. What happened is that last year the F2007 wasn't suited for his style, and this year the F2008 is. I knew that once he had a car for him, Massa wouldn't stand a chance.

can't understand why? when Massa has started from pole and Kimi from 2nd or 3rd for example ..and after the start Kimi has got to the 2nd position, Kimi has beatead Massa 4-1 and only at turkey he didn't because he had 1 lap less fuel...but was easily faster even then.I was 100% confident before race that Kimi would have no problems at all to beat Felipe :)

Yes that did cost him 3rd all i was saying was having that part then move counts as a moveable areo device and its meant to be fixed. And I know it gives know advantage if it rotates and probably makes it worse as its not designed to do that. Anyway its not been looked at so its ok.

I also thought webber would be pulled in due to his light falling off if it had rained he would not have had a light.

Also did anyone else see how much flex was in the engine cover? it moves alot.

I noticed that flexion, a bit like Rolf Harris' wobble board. Red Bull should stick matching batman ears on the driver's helmets for a little extra braking power!

Did Coulthard make contact with Alonso down the main straight after Heidfeld had passed both of them into the last turn?

Great drive by Webber not getting in a flap about having a much faster car behind him for so long. What about James Allen when Hamilton had got past Webber through the 2nd stop. "Thank goodness". Don't salivate, just commentate!

What happened is, Amassa was lighter, Kimi was heavier, and yet he failed to open a gap good enough to be safe after the pit stops and Kimi did a few flying laps before his pit which were good enough to give him P1, and after they pitted, Kimi was the lighter car and Amassa the heavier, and yet Kimi was opening 5s right after it.

Meanwhile, Amassa made a n00b mistake in a corner that should be taken in 3rd or 4th if I am not mistaken, plus he planted on the throttle v-early there - his car wasnt even straight after the corner to be safe to floor it.

It just shows how good is Kimi, he has it (the skill) and can keep his head cool and always does what is expected from him. He also assumes when he did something wrong (i.e. he admitted that he was v-optimistic when he failed trying to overtake Kovy at Melbourne)

Amassa is v-arrogant and never blames himself for his mistakes (same with the other brazilian in a Honda car - that failed to do a proper pit stop twice this year). This is one of the biggest reasons why I dont like them and I will never like them.

Examples for Amassa's n00bness we have plenty of them, three of them at melbourne and two with DC. [IRONIC] "I had a strange feeling on the car coming out of the corner" yes Amassa, its called "lead foot syndrome" and you seem to have it like alot of computer simracers....[/IRONIC]

btw Amassa = Smash ;)

And I have noticed the flexi engine cover in these RBR cars too... FIA need to look at them.

Have you guys noticed how quick was JB at the end of the race! my gosh... although he ran off track only once in that series of fast laps at least he has throttle control and knows what are the pit lights for and the rules for speeding there...

And Piquet was good. Hes improving and isnt v-far from Alonso - sometimes he was lapping on the same pace. Im satisfied with his progress :)

You are right he is improving - at least this weekend he got out of Q1 and didnt cause a first corner pileup. But he is stil a long way from Alonso - 22 seconds at the end of the race which is still about 4tenths per lap.

I dont really think it counts as a moveable aero device as it doesnt create downforce. It was only flexing sidewys anyway which would be more of a hinderance than anything.

massa will need to lift his game, or he could end up finishing 6th in the championship at this rate

Well, at this rate he wont be classified at all, will he? ;)

Moving away from Massa a bit, I'm just glad that Hamilton didn't finish second or something like that, otherwise we'd get a boring few following races with Kimi trying to catch up. This way, a 1-2 from Ferrari does the trick, of course, if Massa can keep himself from spinning again ;)

i love that question did dc make contact with alonso down the main straight?

DC done bloody well to avoid it after being moved over on.

Senna and mansell done near enough the whole straight in spain side by side yet dc and alonso managed a few meters and nearly crashed.

But the Senna and Mansell one was on purpose, both were trying to force eachother to back off, while FA and DC werent trying the same thing. It was just similar.

I just tried to find a clip of it but could not but if dc had not moved the wheels would have touched.

@ Senna/Bruninho, the forum fanboy-o-meter just blew up with this post.

and the bit on bold, yeah, he was expected to make 2 silly mistakes in Melbourne...

i don't like Massa either, but your arguments against him just make you look silly.

and don't worry about the Red Bull engine cover, every single panel on an F1 car flexes to some degree or other, it's only illegal if it generates downforce or helps the aero in any way, not like the engine cover that only bends from one side to the other as it goes round a corner.

Who's Amassa btw?

And about the enginecover-panel on the Red Bull, the flexing indeed is not an argument to declare it illegal, but this is something the FIA should really find a reason that makes it illegal, because DAMN, that is ugly. Something like that did already spoil the 1995 mclaren, and now this.

Don't get it, Amassa means "smash" in some language?

i presume so, in Portuguese, because Bruninho keeps calling that to Massa, who keeps spinning off and crashing.

Soon it might be "Felipe" who?

Fantasy scenario - they fire Massa midseason and Schumi comes out of retirement to take on Kimi....;)
