Yes, GP4 can work with triple screen. In fact it works nicely, with the execption of the menu screens, they look a bit naff. The left and right monitors are blank during screen menus. I have altered GP4s' fonts to better suit triple screen menus, and it's better but not 100%. PM me and I'll send you the fonts. Once you're in the cockpit, 3 screens will run, but then you must aby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
I *think* you can just press + or - in cockpit view to zoom in/out. Not sure about T-cam though.by Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
Do you always upgrade your GCard at this time of the year Gildoorf? It's almost a year to the day since the orginal post. I just find that mildly amusing.by Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
A steering wheel won't necessarily make you faster, but it will certainly add more immersion to the game. Personally I find that having FFB effects cranked right up make for great immersion but at the expense of laptime because you're spending a lot of time time fighting the wheel itself instead of the car. So, a good compromise is needed. Crank down the FFB effects so they'reby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4

@villota77: The sim racing hardware I am referring to is Leo Lacava's (another Leo) range of Beta Innovations products. Hopefully they will allow rpm display via LEDs, gear display via 16-seg LED and all sorts of (user configurable) information displayed via 20x4 LCD (similar to the G15). I have incorporated all of these things into my momo black wheel and mounted it onto a G25. You can seeby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
Hi Zaz. There has been some excellent progress hooking GP4 up to race-sim hardware. This all stemmed from this little beauty. Thanks for that! I have sent you a pm regarding this, but it may be a bit confusing, so have posted here to help remind you of what it was all about. Regards, Mr Pibbby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
Yes it is possible to adjust brake balance during race but only at ace level. GPxPatch's GPxLap has facility for this. Enable in car setup changes in GPxPatch's GPxLap tab. Use L key to toggle CAR setup menu from cockpit (as opposed to Shift+L which gives PIT setup menu). Use F1 key to navigate to brake balance and F3/F4 to adjust down/up. F3+F4 together resets back to the current setuby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
You could use GP4 Builder just to see what textures the lod's are looking for. Then rename the tex files accordingly.by Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4

I have always "assumed" simple maths can be employed to control likely maximum and minimum grid/race finishing positions. By adding the drivers quali perfomance and his quali perfomance range this will give his best result and subtracting his quali performance range from his quali performance will give his lowest result. The result being relative to the other driver's similar max/mby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
Hey Gildoorf, this sounds more like a hardware problem. It could be a heat-cycle problem with your GPU. By leaving GP4 to restart, the GPU gets a chance to cool down a little between sessions and is ok, but when in game swapping tracks you only have the game screen menus and while that still works the GPU it's not as much so the GPU will cool off a little but not as much as when doing a fulby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
Doh! Justed watched the 720p. Yup, that's EXACTLY the same problem I have and I'm using Nvidia 260GTX. I changed my stencil setting from 7 (which is what it was already on) to 8 and the flickering crowds have stopped, but instead of flickering crowds I now have half full granstands in some places, full in other places. Crowd animation is still present where the crowds are missing. Buby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
It's a little bit difficult to see the problem in that video, but I suspect I have exactly the same problem and am using an NVidia GTX260. The crowd flickers like mad. So this is not necessarily an ATI issue. I thought everybody had this problem - thought it was just a GP4 thing so didn't think anything could be done about it!by Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
For No3. To edit the position of the laptime text, go to GPxPatch (GPxCinfo tab) and click "Edit..." (for the 2010TVstyle\panel.ini) On the left hand side of the screen that appears, scroll down to "Lap time -->" and select it and then alter the X position by a few pixels. Hope this helps. Hello everyone. I have an F1 steering wheel powered by a Beta Innovations Plasma Lite. Leo Lacava (the guy who builds the Plasma Lite cards) may add GP4 to his new USIM (Universal Sim) software that runs the Plasma Lite for racing sims. This would be fantastic. To be able to have the gear display, rpm revs, LCD screen etc showing live data during a race - awesome! He is asking for SDK saby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4

Ricardo, I'm not sure what you're after. Maybe this will help? If you need any other bits for triple screen, let me know. I've got visors special for triple screen, and a cockpit. In that view I am zoomed right in (using the "+" key) and the bottom of the cockpit can't be seen. So I had to modify the warning lights for pit-in and plank wear etc so they can bby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
You need to open your track wad file and then open the track GP4 file contained within, and find the name of the tex file in question. Use Easywad or similar to unzip your track.wad file, use GP4 builder to open the track GP4 file. For example, if your track wad file was named melborne2001.wad then unzip that somewhere using Easywad. A folder named melborne2001 will be created with a serieby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
Hey thanks man. I like the effect, especially for twilight races! I had to modify it for triple screen. I have to do this for just about everything in GP4. But it looks great. A screenie: Thanks. Regardsby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
That does look better. What's it like in cockpit view? The lens glare could be good in aussie.by Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for that. I have been hacking the .gps a lot lately, and have it all sorted for my 2010 season. The text for the corner data is in there so that's why I thought the locations may also be in there somewhere. But if you don't know where the info is stored Lo2k, I doubt anyone will! In that case, I'm gonna make blank transparant corner markers so there'll be nothing dby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
Thanks Lo2k. I was expecting to see a GPI for each track with all the corners laid out. I see the GPIs you're talking about are individual numbers. Crikey. This then begs the question: Where in the .gps file are the coordinates for these corner marker locations then? I have managed to swap the track corner Gpedia around ok so the correct info is displayed when tracks are in 2010 order, buby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
Does anyone have a list of what GPI numbers are used for the 'track corners' menu images (for original tracks)? If that makes sense. It's a bugger to try to figure out which one's which because the numbers just look like a jumple on the image (without the track GPI showing). I think I've seen a GPI list somewhere so hopefully someone can help... still a long shot thouby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
Hmmm, you're right Bernard. I might pursue Fongu's idea. Last night I attached an extra bit to a cars suspension and it showed in cockpit view and didn't seem to move. I did some rallying with it and seemed fairly stable. I'm yet to try and make it invisible, and yet to see if it'll be below the car's nose-cone but above the cockpit nose-cone, but I suspect it willby Mr Pibb - Grand Prix 4
