I personally do think gp4 is dead, or dying at least, the community is very small and seems just a few people hanging on to it, f1 2010 is an ok game but far from perfect, it needs lots of fixes, whether i carry on playing it or jusby LWC - Grand Prix 4

You cant enable 2d or 3d in gp4 with windows 7, unless you have something like alchemy installed, but still doesnt work properlyby LWC - Grand Prix 4
ive had wads over a gig in the past and all was fine, just make sure you have deleted all un-used texture filesby LWC - Grand Prix 4
As ive said before the physics plays a role with new soundsby LWC - Grand Prix 4
install transparent overlays into each track folder and that will remove any default osdby LWC - Grand Prix 4
i think its a common problem with windows 7 x64, my po was under 50 on xp with max graphics, but in windows 7 it was through the roof, since i upgraded my graphics card its been fine, less than 70 at the start dropping down to about 15 during the race, i think the lack of hardware acceleration on windows 7 with the older cards could be a big problemby LWC - Grand Prix 4

turn env maps off and try again, they look @#$%& in gp4 anyway and too processor heavyby LWC - Grand Prix 4
looks like your using env maps, also check the line in the cfg file that says enable advanced car shader and set it to 1by LWC - Grand Prix 4
maybe theyre dds1, i think the filesize on those are very small but not sure why thats happend tbhby LWC - Grand Prix 4
just load the tex into slimtex, it will automatically set the correct parameters for the tex ie dds5 semi trans etc etc, then all you have to do is click on set width and height then select a size then just press goby LWC - Grand Prix 4
thanks,i just needed the pic from the rear of the car, cheersby LWC - Grand Prix 4

Beat me to it lol, this is what i have so far, slow progress but not too badby LWC - Grand Prix 4

ive also started the force india lolby LWC - Grand Prix 4
i dont think the cars would look right with no mipmaps, each one is used for distances the car is from the main focal point, the further away, the lower the mipmap, if they dont have any then the cars will look too sharp from a long distance and wont look natural, i did lots of tests with other racing games with no mipmaps and imo looks weirdby LWC - Grand Prix 4
