It didn't destroy his career, but it very nearly destroyed his life. Indeed it didn't do his heart any favours, I belive he was only in his mid 40's when he died of a heart attack. (so wtf am I saying *very nearly*? it did destroy his life!)by J i m - F1
Even if the kimi aclcoholic rumours are true etc... They will always be forgotten everytime he pulls out a victory drive from 17th on the grild like at Suzuka. I imagine that most of the rumours are simply the media scraping around for any unlikely/or likely story because they haven't anything else to print. They are probably always over hyped and are probably not true. But really it&by J i m - F1
Broadly agree with Race_Monkey, although I have to admit that I'm a bit of a blinkered Rosberg fanboy, so I would say that. Besides, it isn't actually official yet, because Williams have not publicaly said anything.by J i m - F1
Acording to Autosport Midlands Colin Kolles entered into negiotions with Sato's manager Andrew Gilbert Scott over the Brazilian Grandprix weekend. The deal has yet to be signed, and it remains to be seen if will ever be signed as there are still noises about this Honda powered team racing in 2006, and Sato persuambly has a guareented drive there if he wants it. The midland deal is appaby J i m - F1
*Beverage giant Coca-Cola has denied that it is contemplating a grand prix attack. In response to reports that 'Coke' could become either a team title sponsor or even buy the championship's naming rights, director of communications Philipp Bodzenta told German publications that there are 'no discussions at present' about F1. He denied that talks about F1 sponsorshiby J i m - F1
It's also worth remembering that the F1 paddock is a policitcal minefield. Half of the rumours are started by highflyers just to see how quickly they get back to the people who started them. Eddie Jordan was a sucker for it. Yes I know this has little relevance to your lambo friend iceman_who ever you are, but it is a relevent point about informatinon and rumours from with the paddockby J i m - F1
I'll wait and reserve judgement. But it is fair to say in general she hasn't notched the results you might expect a serious new F1 testee to have done. So in that respect she isn't about to come in and show the boys how's it done, she isn't going to be giving Alonso and Raikkonen any slpeepless nights.. unless they happen to hit it off.. It's a good idea. But maybe what really needs to do is a webpage that someone can update and maintain, where the bandwagon flamewaring n00bs can't disrupt it. Mind you I'm a bit of n00b myself here atm, in the sense of only having been posting here for a few days. But I've seen enoguh dim posting else where to know what happens. No, talking seriously for a moment it'by J i m - F1
Yes, and now you know why Bernie Ecclestone made things difficult for Stallone, originally it was going to be a movie about F1. I haven't even seen the film, and I have no desire to. Well maybe if I get drunk enough and require some ramdom wtfness.by J i m - F1
I'm not attacking any sources. But you do have to appreciate that reading your so called inside information stories is like saying you have a mate of a mate who know's somebody who works for joe bloggs racing driver personal asistant. Even if you do have sources from within F1, any information you get is already going to be older than second hand and warped.by J i m - F1
A BAR driver, I persuame this guy drives the forklift truck at the Brackley factory then. A williams PR guy probably is going to no more wiser about driver situations than factory floor domestic. It's Williams, Head, Michael and maybe Logic in charge of stuff like that, and they are hardly going to perade "We're going to sack Mark Webber!" around. Face it, listening to tby J i m - F1
It looks very much to me that you made a couple of very easy predictions, that everyone already knew was abuout 95% certain and chucked in a couple of random bits out of thin air, that aren't even close. I'd like to know where your inside info came from, seems phoney to me.by J i m - F1
Yeah, I was about to suggest that tyre manufacturers submit recomended tyre pressure parameters to the regulators. The regulators could then make it mandatory that those parameters are adhered to, and could take out ramdom checks before the start of the sessions. But as Ellis points out, in many ways this would be utterly useless since the tyre pressures alter out on the track anyway.by J i m - F1
I think Rider always had enthusiam (not in the sickly James Allen way thankfully) for the sport. But it has always been belived he is a fan first and foremost, and if that is the case then, I think it is pretty safe to assume he'l be on the ball. Although many didn't like Rosenthal (Grim... myself included) we'd have to admit considering his complete lack of knowledge and toby J i m - F1
I am a Button supporter, mainly because in many ways I'm a patriotic supporter, yes I'm English. Is he over rated? By some yes, mostly by the ITV crew and the Fleet Street media, although former Brit drivers seem to have a fair comparison of him, Brundle seems pretty clued up and probably the most balanced and fair appraisal of him, Jacket Stewart certianly knows what he is talking aby J i m - F1
I read what I think was offical confirmation of Steve Rider presenting the F1 next year in Autosport a few weeks ago. However it was only a little snipnet in the side coloum, so it's more than possible that could be wrong. It is extremely likely though that it will Rider.by J i m - F1
Klien is a solid driver, But I don't think he'l be on Williams's wish list all the same, even if he were available. Williams will probably take advantage of the Friday testing next season imo, as long as that option remains in F1. It is expected by most that Pizzonia will be offered that role, one that he will apparntly accept if there aren't any race deals else where worthby J i m - F1
There are 3 drivers in contention for the 2006 Williams Cosworth race drive. Nico Rosberg is generally accepted as the favourite by the paddock at large. Antonio Pizzonia will remain in consideration, but has blotted his copybook with poor performances since Monza. The 3rd driver in contention has not been named, but speculation suggests that it is Anthony Davidson. Klien is not available,by J i m - F1
