got the small catalogue from Diecast Legends this morning, all Minichamps prices have gone up to £42.99 for 1:18's, and £21.99 for 1:43's, but the chrome McLarens will be £44.99 and £22.99, for 1:18 and 1:43, respectiveley, because of the extra work needed to make the chrome finish.

sounds promising! at least they are making an effort compared to that toy company who just sprayed light grey paint onto their model!

Pretty crappy pics but meh! Great model, brilliant detail, the seats inside are perfectly placed as they are on the real bus, the engine cover lifts to reveal the engine (not spectacular detail in there but nice nonetheless). The destination blind is very realistic (Route 50 to Hollingdean), the livery is spot on and is in general a great model. Its also a limited edition, mines is number 0388 of 2000.

Real bus: [www.buses.co.uk] (fleet number 825).

Manufacturer: Corgi: The Original Omnibus Company
Name of Model: Dennis Trident East Lancs Lolyne Brighton and Hove livery.
Price: £19.95 on ebay

Score: 97/100

The DC Mclaren came today as well, havnt got a good pic of it (useless with a camera). Nicely displayed on the minichamps stand thing with Mclarens logo on the background. Great detail on the model, it is my first 1/43 F1 car and I have been amazed at how much detail it has for such a small model. Very good quality.

Manufacturer: Minichamps
Name of Model: Mclaren MP4/19 D.Coulthard
Price: £7.40 on ebay

Score: 95/100

1:18 models nearly always look nicer when out of the box but how do you solve the problem of dust?

ESSENTIAL OILS aren't essential unless you're an engine, a gearbox or a twat

compressed air might be good for blowing the dust out if displayed openly.

i gave a serious answer, use those compressed air cans you can buy to clean your pc keyboard and fans and stuff, or a slightly damp duster to pick up the dust rather than just blowing it away.

transparent lids seems to be the most elegant solution to me personally but can get a bit pricey if you have several 1:18 models to display :)
