Print out from Photoshop on nice sticky, photo paper. Cut out and place on model 
you can also get double size masking tape which comes in inch and 2 inch widths like regular tape.
might be worth sketching or tracing the the outline shapes onto the tape, then carefully using a scalpel cut the tape shapes and apply to the model then painting and removing etc.
(you could use photoshop to draw the correct outlines/printscreen the revel pdf and then en;arge correctly, print, then trace over onto the tape. that would definitely provide accurate results!

@ Dan, you mentioned some transfer paper a while back, saying it was £1 per sheet or something, that would allow you to create your own decals. where is this sold?

on some decals i bought, it said they were produced by silk screen.
didn't know you could do it on a printer.

i think there are a number of ways to do it - but my guess is that with a really nice laser printer or something similar you can produce some nice little details for minichamps cars and such that the models forget.
i think also many of the one off diecasts on ebay with belgian grand prix renault NT patterns and stuff that cant be bought in specialist online stores are recreated on this type of paper.
i myself intend to make a BAR 2004 NT Monza test livery version with davidson most likely in 1:18 as that is a nicer scale to work with. luckily i still have much of the psp files for when i made the version for gp4 so i can just resize and reuse!

its crap, wait for the minichamps one.
the chrome on the minichamps will look better and iirc they will have johnnie walker on it.
i'm not too fussed about the logos cause i can get the johnnie walker decals for the hot wheels mp4-21 anyway
are there any pictures of the minichamps version to prove the chrome will be better?
