Err.. Havent made those for maybe 7-8 years but to me it seems like that suspension thingy shud have been painted before building it. Same about frontwing.

Some parts painting is smarter to do before taking it off from that "frame". Sure those parts what needs fine tuning shud be taked off first..

Good luck anyway. :)

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

lol, Paul is happy with the Hot Wheels chrome car, easily pleased, but we know he's a Keane fan so shouldn't be surprised ;)

no, it is not released yet, but it will be 2 punds more expensive becouse of the chrome, so it would be expected that it would be muuch better, and minichamps models are 90% of the times better then hotwheels.

i'd say 100%.

a 1:43 minichamps is better than a 1:18 Hot Wheels in terms of detail accuracy, IMO.

to be honest we'll never know how accurate any of them are unless we have all the hundreds and hundreds of paper of mesurements ;)

but anyway the hot wheels mp4-21 looks good enough for me :) will post piccis when it arrives :D

the 100% thing meant that in 100% of situations, Minichamps are better than Mattel, and not that they are 100% accurate to the real car.

Hot wheels stuff are like toys, where as Minichamps seem better quality and more accurate imho

exactly right. Mattel's products are built like toys, look like toys in their (lack of) detail, and are packaged like toys, instead of being aimed at the adult collector and packaged in an adult nature, as the Minichamps products are.

when you're expected to pay around £40 for a 1:18 from Mattel, you rightly expect some quality, whereas even 1:43 Minichamps models have all the quality and detail you need, so £20 for one of those isn't too bad.

just see my thoughts on the 1:43 F2004 Hungaroring Constructors set i converted to Marlboro a few pages back, the built quality was horrendous. their 2001 constructors set was ok, so i don't understand how they took a step backwards in manufacturing and quality control.

i know it's hard to tell unless you're looking at the car "live", but is the MP4-21 actually chrome on that Mattel model, or just painted grey?

in all th epics i've seen it just looks grey, not like a mirror finish, but of course that's what happens in pictures so it can be deceiving.

and Paul, you should Marlboro up your F2002, it'll lookmuch better than NT.

@ Iceman-Kimi, yeah i didn't notice the JW coming out of the black part on the sidepod on that model on ebay. if you do it yourself, you can align everything properly.
