I hope, that I can climb into the top 6...
Hmm. Could be worse, I guess. Hopefully me and Ben can push through the field.

The race has been run and won with a very close finish. Surprisingly, there were no retirements!

On another note, I think it would be better if we return to our old practice of posting the boost announcement after the Friday Practice/Feature Race, but without a deadline. Then set a 2 day deadline soon after the main race has been posted. This will avoid having to extend it when there has been delay in posting the main race.

Not for me. There goes my last reasonable chance for some points.

And for Stu's suggestion: I think that's a good idea. Basically, everybody should know that perfs can be sent after the FP has been run and how to do that. And the next round can be looked up on P1. That is, there's no disadvantage for anybody if he wants to send in the perfs very early. And the advantage is what Stu has said.

Very happy with 3rd place in qualifying. Hopefully I can convert that into decent points to make up for the last round

GPGSL-S7-R03 Japanese Grand Prix - Suzuka

Race Day Part One.

Welcome back to Suzuka and the Japanese Grand Prix.
With series leader Ed Greenhalgh so far down the grid, everyone else is hoping to fill their boots and grab a hatful of points.

Charrel Jalving sits waiting for the start.

And they are off! The pole sitter gets off to a flier.

Johnson gives Maverick a kiss on the ass.

Vilela dives down the inside.

And makes up 2 places.

Elleker takes the fastest lap despite Jalving leading.

Positions at the end of the first lap.

Somogyi makes an error.

Rejoins in last place.

Aleksander takes 4th from Karjalainen.

Greidanus locks up in 13th.

Jalving takes fastest lap.

Sheppard takes Hinz.

Greidanus passes Hinz too.

Elleker in 2nd.

Sheppard runs too wide.

And Greidanus passes too.

Greenhalgh overtakes Johnson.

Greidanus sticks his foot down.

His team mate Aleksander goes rally crossing.

But manages to hang on to 4th.

Vilela passes Worseling.

Jalving pulling away from Elleker.

Pedersen attempts to take Kittleson, but fails.

Vilela slips off track at the first corner.

30 laps to go.

Kittleson makes a mistake.

Resumes in 17th.

Silvestre pressing Johnson.

And he's through.

Rodriguez under pressure from Greidanus.

Ruben passes.

Pedersen gets all squirrely.

And again!

Hinz tries to take advantage of Pedersen's dirty tyres.

But he runs wide and is passed by Maverick and Greenhalgh.

Greidanus takes fastest lap again.

Sheppard dives to the inside of Rodriguez.

And forces him onto the gravel.

Not only losing a place to Pedersen, Rodriguez is now chased by Maverick and Greenhalgh.

25 laps left to go.

Pedersen spoils Greidanus's party.

Aleksander takes the inside line at 130R

But doesn't pass Warrington.

The pitstops begin.

Stay tuned!
