GPG Nations Cup S2: Finished! S3: Annoucements/Signup pg 52! (4 SPACES LEFT)

Posted by GPG_Nations_Cup
Well, for the French team, and our gun driver Jean Girard, that sucked a big hairy one!!!!

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
Absolutely no pace for this race =(

considering the amount of boost played for this race I would have expected a better result, but until we get points it's still acceptable...

My GPGSL Career
Nothing new... =/

One Racing driver and team manager
GPGSL-3: champion in 2007/2013/2014!
GPGSL-4: testdrivers champion in Season 11!
So Finland sneak in at 10th?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unless I'm very much mistaken... I am very much mistaken!
I believe that is correct yes. I do not have access to do the tables or the perfs so i do not want to post the deadline before anyone knows how many points they have left with just two rounds to go
Extra news shock the GPGNC scene! Team Switzerland about to quit from the Nations Cup!

Season 1 World Champion Switzerland will not participate anymore in the Nations Cup, or at least the team starting for Switzerland won't. Of course there is a chance that another team might take over, but Switzerland's team principal considers this unlikely.

"It is true that we have decided not to participate in Season 3. Maybe another team from Switzerland will take over, but with motorsports being extremely unpopular in Switzerland, I consider this rather unlikely.
As for the reasons of our retirement there has been a lot of speculation. Some people accused us of leaving because we couldn't handle the missing success after the extremely successful Season 1. Of course it is true that it wasn't an easy season for us, and that there was a lot of disappointment. But this is not the actual reason for the retirement. The real reason is that our driver, John Maverick, has decided to fully concentrate on the GPGSL from next season on. And good Swiss drivers are rare. Nobody in the team wants to go on without him, he is the mainspring of the team. Without him it wouldn't be the same.
We had a great time in the GPGNC. The win of the championship in Season 1 was the highlight without doubt. Hopefully we can say goodbye with some more strong results towards the end of the season. But either way it was worth any race we participated."

OOC: I think this is a great series. And I hope to see it going to run for much longer. But at the moment I have lots of things going in my RL and don't have the time anymore to properly participate in here, not to speak of painting another car and stuff. Maybe I'll reconsider this decision for S4, if there will be free spots then. But for now I think it's the best decision to quit.

GPGSL : Team Owner of 'Maverick Track Performance' (MTP)
Sorry guys, i will post the tables probably tonight. I too have had exams and unfortunately they only finished yesterday, so i've pretty much been busy over the last week or so. Tables will be up soon though :)

Bulgaria statement

Today it was confirmed that Bulgaria GPG Nations Cup Team will participate in season 3 of the series. Team owner - Deyan Rangelov was very excited to start with this news a special press-conference, that was held in the marble hall of former Royal Palace (nowadays museum) in Sofia.

Rangelov: "After what is more than successful season coming to an end, we are happy that we will be in the series for one more season. We firmly believe we will complete our main task for this season, which is to finish in top 10, although we have missed the first 3 races in the callendar. The motorsport fans in Bulgaria seems to like this championship and they are ecstatic with our results, so there is no other option but to continue racing. Our main goal next year will be to score a victory. As for final standings, I believe top 8 finish is reachable, too".

If there was a man in the room, who is happier than Rangelov, that surely was race driver Nikola Nikolov: "I am very pleased to inform you that I signed a contract for next year. This championship seems to be very competitive and I am happy to race alongside racers like Maverick, Alpenstrom, de Boer, Kederer and the rest. Maybe it is not news, but I'm very close friend with other Balkan boys - Mihai [Marinescu] and Mirko [Vukcevic] and I keep my fingers crossed to race them next season, although I've heard they have some problems and are
yet to confirm this.
"

Another news is that Bulgaria negotiates so that there is a Bulgarian race next year in the series. About this topic Rangelov was really laconic: "We really believe organizers understand that this championship is very popular within Bulgaria, but the problem is that we do not have any track suitable. So more likely we have Bulgarian race not organized in Bulgaria".

And now the long waited pictures from the car for next year:

As you can see from sponsorship logos there are some news, too:

- Mtel has been replaced by Globul as our telecomunication partner. Mtel decided that they are more interested in sponsoring football teams, so we have no choice but to accept that. Fortunately enough, just two days later Globul came out with an offer for the same amount that was the Mtel offer for this season, so we accepted without much thinking.

- Prista Oil and Bulgaria Air remain as our partners. What is more Prista Oil increased their sponsorship a little.
- Zagorka also remain our main sponsor. It seems that by advertising here increased consumation of Zagorka beer in Bulgaria by 2% and they are very happy of this result.

-Cosmetic company Astera decided that our championship is ideal platform for their new marketing strategy. In addition to that Nikola Nikolov seems rather handsome these days, doesn't he :)

-After being in arrest and then found "not guilt" by the court, Alexey Petrov decided to clear up his name by sponsoring our GPG NC team. From our point of view Mr. Petrov is a good businessman and a gentleman, that supported our team with some money. That is why you can see the logo of Lev Ins Insuarance company on our nose.

- Another comapny decided to join our list of partners. Online bookmakers of EfBet paid for their logo on our wing. What is more, they decided to put GPG NC races in their bet list.

And now what is considered as the main change:

GREAT WALL company to supply Bulgaria team with engines!

Great Wall is the leader car company from China. Last year they have decided to sign a contract with Bulgarian company Litex Motors so that they produce their cars in Bulgaria. After a successful debut in Dakar rally, they have decided to move on and enter single-seater series as an engine supplier. We are happy to be their first choice and we are sure the engine they have built to be one of the best this year.

As you can see there are lots of new thing on our car. What remains the same is that our number still remains 33 and also that Bridgestone will supply our team with the "black gold" of motorsports as their tires proved to be the best.

Last but not least we wish to thank Incident 2k9 and JohnMaverick for their great work. Without them we wouldn't be here presenting our car. So thank you boys, you are always welcome in Bulgaria... to drink Zagorka together :)

Going to be interesting! However with all these boosts I'm afraid I'm not going to be up front enough to score the points in need before heading into the last round!
