Lo2k, i know it's late to include new features for the next release of 3de, but thinking about a future release, would be too difficult to add the possibility of seeing the wireframe of the *.dat when editing a *.col file???

another idea, just like b-tone's... :)

@Paco:

>>Fixed: Graphics display options were disabled with .col files .

So, 99% sure that you can display the dat and col at the same time with 3DE 14.4.

Not realy in 13.5 you couldn't edisplay the col as a wireframe, or textured wireframe, that's now fixed.

Ah, that's what he meant by Graphics Display.

Yep, it's out. I hope it's working too :)

@Belini: It's quite editable but size of the jip was too small to be able to create new lines, that's why I worked on a 256*256 jip file and I got it working. All Ricardo tracks are now using this new jip file that can handle twice as many jips as before (and it should be working with GP3 tracks too) :)

@B-tone: Hmm, no, you should be able to displace initial sector to hairpin and create missing sectors in the new gap between initial and 0 sector.
3D to .dat is a complex task so I don't know when and if I could add it one day.

@Paco: seeing both .col and .dat files is in my plans but I don't know how and when.

@Tom: Yep, Maverick is right. De rien :)

Allrighty, now that we can remove .gp4 objects I have a question:

Some objects are called "REQUIRED_BlahBlahBlah" -> are they actually required to make the track work, or are all .gp4 objects removable ?

BTW, found a bug:

While building my dat I created a new scene to display a trackmap.
When I clicked on add object the last track sector went crazy:

It happened to me five times already.
It seems that .gp4 object manipulation has a bad effect on the dat (?!).
@ Belini

I am a huge fan of your tracks for GP3, would love to see some of your efforts in GP4.

i think all objects in gp4 files are removable. i've marked all of them as hidden before the release of the latest version and the track load fine,
just i get some warnings in the gpxload.txt

And I can't believe YOUR eyes ;-)

It doesn't look at all like Cleveland to me.
More like an old British airstrip.

Yup, it's Dunsfold Park, the test track of Top Gear. But this one from the screen isn't the right scale, so I'll have to do the layout again. But it won't take as much time as before now. :)

The Renault R24 did an 0:59.00 in real, on my track I did a very bad lap in 0:52.xx, and I think even a 0:45.xx is possible...

Hmm, I will see what's happening, Tom...OK, tried and didn't get your weird last sector effect. Can you describe what's your doing step by step after you opened .gp4+.dat files ?

Anyway I don't know this track :)
