also the pitboxes don't work

open the cms.log in the csm installation folder, and look for errors in this file.
if only one member of pitcrews fail to load all the set will be discarded.
i don't figure why you get 2005 pitcrews instead of standard 2001 ones. have you the 2005 set made permanent?

theres no pitboxes.
i'll check the pitcrews when i get a chance.

problem found.
you have 79 pitcrews in non race sessions now, but to fix it all replace lines File12 to File22 in settings/swap.ini with this:

a last question sete, what resolution are you using in csm configuration for pitcrews? i'm not setted in front of my pc now but using std resolution they seem to work. for me atleast.
there was problems with pitcrews in the past caused by some missing files, but there was an error logged in the anim swap section in the csm.log.
so if you get no errors it means the anim is not swapped at all, this can be a swap.ini problem (or globalvars).

Look familiar? I had a little battle for second in France. Then a sudden case of "where have I seen this before"?

the renault still need some fixes to the normals

theres an update to fix the pitcrews at the 1979 site

just copy the swap.ini into 'C:\Program Files\Grand Prix 4\GPSAVES\Carsets\1979\Settings' overwriting the old one

Very good mod, quite challenging actually. Did a race at Magny Cours, led for 36 laps, easily the fastest, then my tyres just went, and Gilles Villeneuve was much faster

Front wheels don't turn normally??

Hey guys...
the 1979 mod is terrific.
Is there any way to get rid of the arms hanging on to the steering wheel ?
Man! At Monaco where I have max steering wheel turn, the arms are all the way up on the sides as I turn and are disconnected from the body !
Help is appreciated !

the arms are a gpxcinfo panel, like an image attached to the steering wheel.
gp4 don't support animated cockpit arms like f1ch.
there's no way to make them better, you can only disable it. press CTRL+4 (or ctrl+3 i'm not sure now)
