* Installation *

You need the following installed for the mod to work:
Grand Prix 4 (patched 1.02 preferred)
GpxPatch 3.91 (or later)
CSM 1.25 build 31 (or later)

Unpack the .rar file and double click the 1979-b.1.0.cuh file and enter '1979' as the folder name.

For best performance recalibrate your graphics, and/or copy your 'f1graphics.cfg' and 'f1gstate.sav' into '1979\Data\Files\'

We can't offer much support at the moment with installing the mod, so if you can't get it working then it might be best to wait for the non beta release

imola doesnt work, crashes right at the end of loading, but it looks ace once i got it working Some hands dont turn in cockpit too

-1 to Kev for not reading the readme :p (imola & bh not working yet)

@danny - there is only 'Hi_' prefixed textures so you'll need to either set it in the ingame menus, or perhaps:

wow, i just tested it and it is AMAZING

@ white cars issue

this mod, like many other, has only hi_ prefixed texture.
start the game then go in the graphics options, click on advance tab
remove the "automatic" and set the "manual" option
change all the options below to "high"
then confirm and start a race.

this must fix this problem.

the pitcrew doesn't work

you mean they aren't 1979 style? or dont work on your car? or the game crashes?
which team5 and team8 is this with?

It's the pitcrew from your 2005 mod that appeers!

nope it is original pitcrew and I've tested it with every combination but it doesn't work.

try changing these 2 lines in settings\swap.ini:

File27 =Anim\pitcrew.mdb,animationdata\race\pitcrew.mdb
File28 =Anim\pitcrewlo.mdb,animationdata\race\pitcrewlo.mdb


to:
File23 =Anim\pitcrew.mdb,animationdata\race\pitcrew.mdb
File24 =Anim\pitcrewlo.mdb,animationdata\race\pitcrewlo.mdb
